CANVAS LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM 1.1 Features and Functions Canvas incorporates all of the fundamental features and functions of a traditional LMS with the versatility and extensibility of Web 2.0 tools and applications. 1.3 Canvas Architecture and AWS Infrastructure The Canvas architecture built on Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure provides unmatched availability, scalability, and reliability. The Canvas architecture and the AWS infrastructure are fully horizontally scalable providing virtually limitless capacity via the provisioning of additional resources. Note: Tools and services denoted with an asterisk (*) are provided and/or supported by Canvas at no additional cost. Canvas support for integrations with the non-asterisked third-party tools and services is included at no additional cost but institutions would need to already have or need to obtain licensing for those products from their respective vendors. CANVAS IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES PACKAGES The Canvas Implementation Services Packages are implementation options designed to match each customer with the most appropriate implementation approach ranging from minimal support and guidance, to full project ownership and management by Instructure. Table 2-1 lists the Canvas Implementation Services packages and a description of the services provided. Table 2-1. 3. INSTRUCTURE PRICING DETAIL Instructure is proposing its Canvas LMS that includes complete Instructure hosting services, system update/upgrade services and online training package. This pricing section provides the following; subscription fee inclusions, standard and optional training, Canvas support options, and the proposed annual subscription fees provided in Table 3-1 on page 18 of this proposal. 3.1 Annual Subscription Fees Our pricing model is based on a one-time implementation fee and on subscription fees calculated by multiplying the number of users by an annual per-user subscription fee. Tier 1 Support by Instructure s Support team provides first-line help desk support to address and resolve end user issues such as logging into Canvas, questions about Canvas features and functions, and resolving other operational problems. The institution s users can contact Instructure s Tier 1 Support staff 24/7 through online ticket submission, chat, e-mail, or phone. The institution s LMS administrator(s) have access to all enduser submitted tickets and monthly usage reports. Instructure Tier 1 Support requires the purchase of 24x7 Support as described above in Error! Reference source not found., as well as the setup and per FTE costs shown in Table 3-5. Table 3-5.
