Case Study: P.M.M Security & Automation Background With 11 years of security installation experience in Northern Ireland, P.M.M Security & Automation were selected as the installer of a large scale upgrade of a EUROSPAR supermarket site. Originally planned as an analogue upgrade of the CCTV system, further consultations with Videcon resulted in a new IP system being selected for the premises. The Solution The Concept Pro VHDIP recorder was chosen for the installation, giving P.M.M Security the ability to deliver 2.1 MP 1080p video throughout the entire premises. Using the systems plug and play configuration and Power over Ethernet features, installation times are greatly shortened installing and setting up cameras. Outside, a combination of the KCEZD-1080 dome and KCEZB-1080 bullet cameras were used. Both provide coverage in dark environments courtesy of built in IR technology, allowing users to see all the way down to 0.0 Lux. Inside of the supermarket, KCI4D-1080 mini internal dome cameras were used to cover the majority of the site. With 10 metre IR range, the camera keeps the premises secure overnight and two KCI5Z- 1080s, a mini 5x zoom camera, were used ensured maximum security for key areas of the shop floor. The Outcome The EUROSPAR supermarket has now been successfully installed with a 65 camera IP security system and have expressed how pleased they are with the result and the quality of the install provided by P.M.M Security & Automation.
