Mr. Michael D Alessio Director of Science, Assessment, & Educational Technology

Science courses at WHRHS are based on the Next Generation of Science Standards (NGSS) which allow for teachers to develop a curricular framework that is not only rich in content but also in the practice of science. To this end, teachers are involved in creating a dynamic curriculum via a team based approach rather than an individual approach. This team based approach allows for teaching a broader collaborative process and this sharing of ideas and lab resources expands opportunities for all students.
