PNQR Survey Results / Comments After completing the PNQR Pilot Program, did you feel the program helped you to find a job? YES = 33 NO = 1 The program was an awesome and excellent refresher course, which filled the professional gaps I had in nursing, and made me fit into the nursing profession in Canada. I think the employer trusted me more because of the PNQR program knowing that I had practicum in acute care and long term care [in Canada.] It helped me gain enough confidence in providing safe and competent care. The practicum gave me experiences in Canadian healthcare and made me confident to work as a nurse and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. It has helped me review my nursing knowledge and skills as well as learn more about the Canadian health care system. I did my practicum in the hospital where I m working now.

PNQR Survey Results / Comments Overall, how satisfied were you with the PNQR Pilot Program? Very Satisfied = 32 Somewhat Satisfied = 1 Somewhat Dissatisfied = 1 Aside from bringing back our confidence, this program really helped us gain more knowledge and improve our skills. It was the best thing I have ever done in preparing back to my nursing career. Before I did it I was unsure as to whey we still need it, but I am now a believer. It was indeed a vital part of becoming a nurse in Manitoba. It does help you be prepared and at the same time be more confident that you will be successful in your career as a nurse. It helped me both in passing the exam and in preparing me to work in health care as an LPN. It helped me to familiarize Canadian nursing practice which is totally different from our nursing practice in our country. I really intended to be part of the program and it helped me so much to adapt quickly and refreshed my knowledge and skills. I am very thankful with the practicum, lab skills and theories.
