Filtered Lookup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Please visit the product home page for updated information first. It is available from the Donaubauer AG homepage www.donaubauer.com NOTE: This release (version 5.0.7) is considered a beta release, though it seems functioning properly. The documentation still refers to CRM 4.0 but applies to CRM 2011 as well. It will be updated in the future though. The entire installation and configuration process is contained in the Filtered Lookup documentation, which is available as a separate download on www.donaubauer.com/en/download/filteredlookup40.chm After downloading the documentation, please read the Release Notes first, as it may contain important news when upgrading an existing installation. Then open the Configuration Checklist topic in the Configuration chapter to start with the installation and configuration: Some issues have been reported regarding the help file. If you see the navigation hierarchy but cannot access the contents, please use these steps for troubleshooting: 1. You have opened the help file from the Filtered Lookup settings area (download). When you open it directly and do not save it on your disk, then the content cannot be displayed. If this is your scenario, save the file to your local hard drive and open it. 2. When opening the help file from your disk you get a warning message telling you that it is a potentially dangerous file. There is a checkbox in this warning dialog allowing you to turn off the security check for the file. 3. "You cannot open HTML Help files from Internet Explorer after you install security update 896358 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902225/en-us
Installing the Filtered Lookup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Download the Server and Offline Client Setup from the Donaubauer AG web site and extract the zip file into a new folder. Execute setup64.exe and follow the installation instructions. NOTE: You don t have to uninstall a previous Filtered Lookup version. The installer will perform an upgrade of an existing Filtered Lookup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 or Filtered Lookup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 installation. Setup installs the application into the programs folder, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\stunnware\filtered Lookup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. After the files are installed, the installer attempts to copy the contents of the bin and isv folder contained in the installation directory into the CRM web. The CRM web usually is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb or C:\Inetpub\wwwroot. It also contains a bin and isv folder. If, for any reason, the installer cannot copy the files from C:\Program Files (x86)\stunnware\filtered Lookup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM into the CRM web, then simply copy the files yourself. Configuring the Filtered Lookup in an organization After setup is complete, you must configure the Filtered Lookup in the CRM organization. If you are using multiple organizations, then you have to repeat the steps for each organization. The installation above is only required once though. Download the Filtered Lookup Solution File for CRM 2011 from the Donaubauer AG web site. In the CRM 2011 web client open the Settings area and select Solutions. in the Settings area and import the Filtered Lookup solution file. If the CRM organization is an upgraded CRM 4.0 database that already contained the Filtered Lookup customizations, then you are done. Otherwise you have to configure the Filtered Lookup for first use. Configuring the Filtered Lookup (only if not upgraded from CRM 4.0) Download and run the Configuration Manager for CRM 2011 application. Run the application and connect to the CRM 2011 server. Select the organizations to configure and select the two checkboxes at the bottom:

If you have received a single license file named spla.lic, then you must copy this file into the /isv/stunnware.com/cld4 subfolder of the CRM web. If you have received two or more license files (not named spla.lic) then you must import them through the Filtered Lookup Settings area: NOTE: In CRM 4.0 you were used to work with the Filtered Lookup settings page. This has changed in the 2011 implementation, where multiple entries in the sitemap are used. If you don t have a license yet, then feel free to request your trial license today. More information is available on the Donaubauer AG web site. Do not forget to configure the application settings as documented in the help file, chapter Configuration, topic Application Settings.
