CURRICULUM VITAE WILLIAM A. NORTON Mr. Norton was born April 26, 1951, in Garretsville, Ohio. He is married and has three children. He attended University of Florida, 1969 to 1973 receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising, College of Journalism and Communications. He attended University of Florida College of Law, 1973 to 1976 and received a Juris Doctor degree. After being admitted to The Florida Bar in 1977, Mr. Norton practiced as a Divisional Chief Felony Public Defender in several circuits in Florida. He was lead counsel on more than thirty major criminal cases. After his criminal trial experience, from 1985-1988, Mr. Norton served as an Associate with the firm of Jones & Foster, P.A. in West Palm Beach as a civil trial litigator. From 1988-1992, he practiced as an Associate in his current law firm. Since 1992, he has been practicing as a Shareholder in the firm of Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, P.A.
