It is comprised of colleges and universities in the Central Texas area. Approximately sixty-five persons attend meetings planned twice a year. ETACRAO East Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers The East Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ETACRAO) usually has one meeting around Valentine's Day in the Spring of each year. One school serves as host and provides the program. Member schools are encouraged to bring key support staff members. NTCCURAO North Texas Council of College and University Registrars and Admissions Officers The North Texas Council of College and University Registrars and Admissions Officers (NTCCURAO) serves the geographic area surrounding the Fort Worth-Dallas metroplex. There are no membership dues, but a small fee is usually charged per meeting to cover expenses and provide operating funds. Meetings are held three times per year with the meeting location rotated among member schools. Institutions are encouraged to bring key support staff members. Special projects have included periodic staff development workshops and a North Texas Transcript Guide. STARAO South Texas Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers The South Texas Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers (STARAO) serve twenty-four colleges and universities in the geographic area from San Marcos on through the Valley to the coast. Membership dues are $20.00 per year. An annual meeting is held with the meeting location rotated among member schools. Approximately forty persons attend each meeting. The annual meeting begins at Thursday noon and extends through Friday noon. Two or three professional sessions and a Coordinating Board update are held on Thursday afternoon with Thursday night featuring fun and dinner. Another professional session is held Friday morning followed by a business meeting. SETACRAO Southeast Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers The Southeast Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SETACRAO) includes a geographic area that begins at the Brazos River and extends south to Houston and the Gulf Coast. There are no membership dues, but a small registration fee is usually charged at each meeting to cover expenses. Meetings are held twice per year with meeting locations rotating among area schools. One hundred to one hundred-fifty professional and support staff attends each meeting. The purpose of the association is to promote professional and staff development, to respond to legislation affecting higher education, and to develop and promote inter/intra institutional cooperation in student services. WTACRAO WEST Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers Geographically the largest, the West Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers' border stretches from Texas-Oklahoma border from Vernon to Ranger to Brownwood to Alpine to the Texas-Mexico border. Institutions west of that line are eligible for membership. WTACRAO currently meets in March with meeting locations rotating among area schools. There are no membership dues, but a small registration fee is charged at each meeting to cover expenses.
