This degree is presented jointly by the departments of Industrial & Organisational Psychology and Psychology at UNISA. Entrance requirements are as follows: registration as psychologist with the HPCSA in the categories clinical, counselling, industrial, research or education, and at least 3 years experience in consulting to organisations on the individual, group and organisational levels. The outcomes of the degree are as follows General outcome. Develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes (competence) to provide organisational consulting services at individual, group and organisational levels with the focus on assessment, intervention development and implementation and evaluation. Learning outcome 1: Qualifying learners show a broadening and critical understanding of different scientific frameworks and are able to effectively integrate knowledge on different psychological approaches, theories, models and techniques. Learning outcome 2: Qualifying learners develop their own unique approaches, models, methods and techniques, for fit for purpose consulting solutions on individual, group and organisational levels that make connections between phenomena that are not apparent without the model. Learning outcome 3: Qualifying learners develop their competence and consulting experience in order to address problems from a multi disciplinary approach. Learning outcome 4: Qualifying learners can critically evaluate and reflect on their own consultation processes and services with a learning and ethical attitude. The 2014 dates are as follows: January 27-31 March 10-14 May 19-23 August 11-15 October 20-24. During the Research workshops, the student prepares the Research Proposal. A promoter is assigned based on expertise and availability. During the second and subsequent year(s) the student performs the research under supervision of the promoter.
