By Therapeutic Class (cont.) Use Therapeutic Class Code (TCCODE) variable to get participants in f44_ctos_inv.dat file using Statins. TCCODE = 394000 or 394099 To determine what meds are classified as a Statin look in f44ref_meds.dat file. Find medications with a TCCODE of 394000 or 394099 You will find meds: Pravachol /Provastatin, Zocor /Simvastatin, Baycol /Cervastatin, Lipitor /Atorvastin, Pravigard /Aspirin+Provastatin etc.
Complexity Example Define Aspirin Use Include any med containing Aspirin? Include meds containing only Asprin? Include Other Salicylates, e.g. Sasalate? Low dose versus High dose?
