New Sydbank MasterCard travel insurance As of 1 January 2015 travel insurance offered by Sydbank will be provided by Topdanmark. At the same time your insurance cover will be updated in certain respects. This brochure gives you a brief overview of the changes and your options. Topdanmark Insurance Card At the back of this brochure you will find your new Topdanmark Insurance Card stating the most important information if you need assistance. If you have a MasterCard Classic card with insurance cover The card will be discontinued and instead you will receive a MasterCard Gold card with Gold insurance cover. The interest-free period on your card will remain the same.
We will start to replace the cards in December so that you are sure to have your new card before 1 January when the changes in your insurance cover take effect. As of 1 January a fee of DKK 195 will be charged for a family card issued in connection with a MasterCard Gold card (currently Classic). If you have a MasterCard Gold card You will keep your MasterCard Gold card but be covered by a new Gold Plus insurance. The interest-free period on your card will remain the same. If you have a MasterCard Platinum card or MasterCard Private Banking card You will keep your card but have new travel insurance. The other benefits will remain the same. If you have a family card If your spouse or partner goes on a trip without you, he or she will need a family card to be covered by the travel insurance. If you have a MasterCard Ung Debit card with insurance cover As of 1 January 2015 you will be covered by a new youth travel insurance which is equivalent to your current insurance except for a few new phrases and clarifications in the insurance terms and conditions.

The most important changes at a glance MasterCard Classic with insurance cover replaced by MasterCard Gold If you have a MasterCard Classic card with insurance cover you will receive a MasterCard Gold card with Gold insurance cover in December. Here are the most important changes: New Combined holiday and business cover The insurance will only provide cover on trips within Europe and only for up to 30 days Children under the age of 13 travelling without the cardholder will be covered by the MasterCard insurance and not by the special Youth Travel Insurance. Your cover under the new Gold Plus, Platinum and Private Banking insurance Here are the most important changes: New Combined holiday and business cover Children under the age of 13 travelling without the cardholder will be covered by the MasterCard insurance and not by the special Youth Travel Insurance. A spouse/partner travelling without the cardholder must have his or her own family card and children living at home aged between 13 and 24 must have their own MasterCard Ung Debit card with insurance cover to be covered by the travel insurance. Children not living at home aged between 18 and 24 are not covered. Gold Basis: basic cover without cancellation insurance Gold Basis provides basic travel insurance cover if you do not want cancellation cover or replacement trip or holiday compensation cover in the event of eg illness. Your new Topdanmark Insurance Card The card is valid from 1 January 2015. We recommend that you cut out the card and take it with you when you travel. this Gold Basis is very similar to the Gold insurance. You are covered on trips of up to 30 days within Europe. If you are travelling around New Year s Eve Claims arising before 1 January 2015 will be covered by If according to the current terms and conditions. Topdanmark will cover claims arising after 31 December 2014 even though your trip starts before 1 January. Topdanmark will take over any medical pre-evaluations carried out by If before 1 January on the same terms and conditions. After 1 January medical pre-evaluations will be carried out by Topdanmark. If you do not want your card with the new insurance You must notify Sydbank before 1 January at sydbank.dk/opsig or at your Sydbank branch. The card will be blocked as of 1 January 2015 and all cover under the travel insurance will cease as of this date.
