HSBC's Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode is the secure online payment services to provide you with extra security and peace of mind when you shop online with your HSBC's personal Credit Cards. An extra level of protection and security for shopping online Available at no additional cost Easy-to-use services with no software to download WHY ARE THEY SECURE? Password protection: You create a password of your choice - the service is available for all HSBC Credit Cards. Use it like your ATM PIN (Personal Identification Number) - ensuring that only you can use your Credit Card online. Additional protection with the personal message: You can create your own personal message further protection of your secure password. You check your own personal message prior to entering your password - confirming that your transaction is authenticated by HSBC. HOW TO REGISTER? (*) Step 1: Log on to your HSBC Internet Banking account, select Services from the menu on the left, and click: MasterCard SecureCode if you are a Cardholder of Premier World MasterCard Credit Card, or Verified by Visa if you are a Cardholder of HSBC Visa Platinum, Visa Gold, Visa Classic Credit Card. Step 2: Select your Credit Card to register for the service. Step 3: Create password and personal message. Step 4: Your password can be used immediately to make online purchases. FORGET YOUR PASSWORD? (*) Step 1: Follow step 1 at How To Register. Step 2: Select your registered Credit Card. Step 3: Select Change the password and create new password. Step 4: Your new password can be used immediately to make to make online purchases. HOW DO THEY WORK? Register your Secure Online Payment Service by logging on to HSBC Internet Banking and creating your password and personal message. Shop online at participating merchants and pay with your personal HSBC Credit Card which you have registered for the Secure Online Payment Service. Verify that the authentication screen is genuine by checking the personal message is the one you have created at the time of registration. Enter your password to authenticate the transaction and complete your online purchase. YOUR PASSWORD LOCKED? (*) Step 1: Follow step 1 at How To Register. Step 2: Select your registered Credit Card. Step 3: If your profile is locked, an option Unlock the selected profile should appear. Click on that option to unlock the profile and to use the service with the current password. 6 YOUR PASSWORD LOCKED? After several incorrect input of password, you will see the below message in merchant website. To unlock your password for the service, please follow the below steps: Step 1: log on to your HSBC Internet Banking account, select Services then Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode.
