Protecting your home and contents Here at Countrywide, we know that buying a home will be your biggest investment. To bring you peace of mind, Countrywide and AXA have worked together to design an exclusive range of insurance products. Buildings Insurance Our buildings insurance protects against a number of risks, including loss due to storm, fire, flood, subsidence or theft. This is a requirement of most mortgages. Our Home Protection Buildings cover also includes: Rebuild cost guarantee - we will pay up to the full cost to repair or rebuild following loss or damage. A range of excess options, starting as low as 50. Full accidental damage cover as standard. Contents Insurance Contents insurance cannot stop the incident from taking place but it can help you put things back the way they were quickly and with the minimum of fuss. Our Home Protection Contents cover includes: The option to choose the level of cover applicable to your needs. A range of excess options, starting as low as 50. Identity Theft cover. Lifestyle Assistance, which includes a home security service and 24 hour travel service. Full accidental damage cover (optional). We also offer a Value Plus package, which includes a number of benefits: Personal possessions cover protects your personal belongings outside of the home. Home assistance to help with emergency repair arrangements and costs up to 1000. Family legal protection receive up to 50,000 assistance with legal costs in the event of unforeseen legal proceedings. Protecting your mortgage payments Buying a home is probably the largest financial commitment you are likely to make. In these unsettled economic times it has never been more important to protect your home and family against the risk of involuntary unemployment, accident or sickness. Unemployment Cover Our MortgageCare Unemployment cover can help you continue to meet your mortgage repayments for a period of up to12 months per claim, in the unfortunate event that you become involuntarily unemployed or suffer from business failure (if you are self employed). Accident and Sickness Cover Our MortgageCare Accident and Sickness cover can provide peace of mind in the event that you are unable to work due to accident or sickness by helping to meet your mortgage repayments for a period of up to 12 months per claim, allowing you to focus on your recovery. Accident, Sickness and Unemployment Cover This cover provides peace of mind by combining the benefits of Unemployment cover with Accident and Sickness cover for total protection. This Payment Protection Insurance is optional. There are other providers of Payment Protection Insurance and other products designed to protect you against loss of income. Protecting you and your family Here at Countrywide, we work with Friends Life to provide cover which ensures that you and your loved ones are protected no matter what life throws at you. Life Cover Life Cover pays out a cash lump sum, or an annual benefit if selected, should you die or if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness before your cover ends. It can be used to help: Pay off your mortgage Provide money to help maintain standards of living for those loved ones left behind. Income Protection Income Protection will pay you a regular monthly benefit if you lose your earnings due to being unable to work because of illness or injury. It can be used to help: Pay your monthly mortgage instalments Pay your monthly bills that don t stop, e.g. Council Tax, gas and electric, TV subscriptions Maintain your family s lifestyle, e.g. holidays, mobile phones and eating out. Critical Illness Cover Our critical illness cover provides a cash sum if you suffer or undergo a specified illness or operation. It can be used to help: Pay for medical treatment Pay towards changes you need to make due to illness, e.g. home alterations Provide you and your family with peace of mind. It will also cover your children up to age 18, or 21 if they are not in full time employment. If your child is diagnosed with one of the conditions covered, critical illness cover pays out a lump sum payment to provide your family with financial support at a difficult time. Note: The Friends Life policies are pure protection policies and there is no cash-in value. When considering the amount of cover you may need, it is worth remembering that inflation will reduce the spending power of any money you get back in the future, therefore you should review the amount of cover on a regular basis. 6
