He added: Obviously, we will come to a goal setting in our strategy, but growth for us, as such, is not an imperative, it is the result of the ambitions we realise every day. Hitting targets The company s goal, said Andersen, is to reach the end of 2015 with a revenue of 120 million and an employee base of 1,000. We will achieve that goal, he said, but it is not because we have only pursued it as a metric, as such, it is just a result of the success of our strategy. This success is thanks to a culture of innovation within Delaware. Bruyneel alluded to an approach that involved an open mindset towards this with openness and debate encouraged. The company s structure, he said, is fairly flat which causes good canalisation, with people with good ideas given the platform to grow it into something which generates competitive advantage in the customer base. The company will always be based around its technology partners, but has developed a lot of innovative techniques and breakthroughs through its culture. This focus involves enabling clients business processes from strategy to implementation, which also means the company says no to some opportunities because they are not within its strategy and focus. It therefore has critical mass in terms of expertise and deep expertise in those areas of focus. Andersen added: I think a second differentiator is that we are an independent partnership and that reflects in our decisions. We are not quarterly driven, but pay a lot of attention to our people because ultimately they will become the next generation of partners in the company. We are driven by some very solid values, among which entrepreneurship, which keeps the drive in the company.
