Implementation Regulations EER HZ study programme: Vitality & ourism Management Bachelor programme full-time Chapter 1 General provisions Implementation Regulations EER HZ 1.1 general 1.1.1 he Education and ination Regulations (EER HZ) comprise the core of the education within HZ. hat document gives a general overview of all study programmes offered by HZ. he EER HZ contains institutionspecific regulations, which apply to the entire HZ. Every year, the Executive Board determines the institutionspecific Implementation Regulations EER HZ (hereinafter: Implementation Regulations) for every study programme. 1.2 Programme Committee 1.2.1 he Programme Committee is provided the opportunity to advise the Executive Board before the Implementation Regulations are determined. 1.2.2 he Programme Committee assesses the execution of the Education and ination Regulations and the Implementation Regulations annually. 1.3 Academy director 1.3.1 he appointed academy director is responsible for: a. the execution of the EER HZ; b. the implementation and execution of the Implementation Regulations; c. the annual evaluation on behalf of the Executive Board of the EER HZ and the Implementation Regulations, in which he measures and monitors the amount of time students need and adjust the study load, if necessary (article 7.14 WHW); d. preparing the adjustments to the Implementation Regulations.. 1

Chapter 2 Implementation Regulations EER HZ per study programme: Vitality & ourism Management, full-time 2.1 Registration, pre-training requirements and admission policy 2.1.1 Overview additional pre-training requirements (article 2.3 EER HZ in addition to the requirements as stated in article 2.2 EER HZ) Profiles senior general secondary education Study programme: Vitality & ourism Management Student graduated from senior general secondary school before 1-8-2009 Student graduated from senior general secondary school after 1-8-2009 N (Nature & echnology) NH (Nature & Health) ES (Economy & Society) CS (Culture & Society) Profiles preuniversity education Study programme: Vitality & ourism Management Student graduated from pre-university before 1-8-2010 Student graduated from pre-university after 1-8-2010 N (Nature & echnology) NH (Nature & Health) ES (Economy & Society) CS (Culture & Society) 2.1.2 Deficiency test (article 2.4 OER HZ) he transition course Economics is intended for students who graduated from senior general secondary school or pre-college education and whose profile does not meet the legal requirements for their specific study programme. hese students must pass the final exam of the transition course (with a satisy mark). his is required in order to be admitted to the study programme. 2

he transition course is also suitable for future students who feel they need extra lessons, students who are advised by HZ to take the transition course Economics (with a satisy mark) or students who are required to take the course in order to be admitted to the study programme. Study load he study load of the course is 40 hours, including the lessons. Data he summer course at HZ starts in August ( 34). Lessons take place at the main location of the HZ University of Applied Sciences on Monday, 18 August, uesday, 19 August, Wednesday, 20 August, hursday 21 August and Friday, 22 August. he examination will be on Monday, 25 of August. Costs he participation fee is 150 Euro (payment takes place via acceptgiro). HZ will provide the course materials at a cash payment of a 50 Euro deposit. ravel costs and such will not be reimbursed. Registration You can register for the transition course Economics via the on-line application form. Please register before Friday, 11 July 2014 due to the summer holiday and the organisation of the transition course. As a manager in the wellness industry, you must have an extensive knowledge of your own field: the wellness industry can be roughly be divided into which four quadrants? Which trends and developments form the basis of the enormous growth in the wellness industry? What is the supply and demand in the market? Subsequently, we take a closer look at the quadrant Resting & Experiencing. NBC suggests that pampering, relaxing, visiting spa s and beauty appear in this quadrant. Important activities that are connected to this include going to the sauna, hamam, wellness centres with thermal baths or thalassotherapy institutes, destination spa s, health and beauty centres or centres for meditations and meaning In this course, we will therefore mainly focus on the following topics: pampering, relaxing and visiting wellness centres, which translates into spa, massage, experience and senses.
