B. You may count an outside major professional concert attended during the summer or inter- term immediately preceding the current semester (ex: counting a summer concert for the Fall semester of concert music). C. You may not stockpile performances, that is, go to 4 concerts one summer and use one per semester for the next 4 semesters. D. Each semester you must attend the following, and keep the programs to turn in as proof: 1. 7 Music at Noon Concerts (Wednesdays, 12:30-1:00 p.m.) No substitutes allowed. E. Class Conflict Resolution 1. Only conflicts with a scheduled Biola course are eligible for a resolution waiver. 2. Waivers are only good for one semester. 3. Requests for waivers must be made in advance and in writing to be included in your file. 4. Take your written request to the Concert Music Coordinator so that a signed waiver and substitution schedule can be attached to your form. F. Make- ups: no make- ups are allowed after the submission due date. The only concerts you may attend after the due date are Jr. and Sr. Recitals. In this case you must record the future dates on your report form along with a note explaining which recitals you are planning to attend and turn in your packet on time. After you attend the recital(s) you must take your program to the office during the next business day and add it to your concert music packet. If you do not bring your program in after attending you will not receive credit. G. All special credits must come from the concert music coordinator via email (get it in writing!). Don t assume that your area coordinator checked before he/she told you that a concert would count. If you have questions ask the concert music coordinator, not your area coordinator. V. Concert Recording and Submission Procedures A. You are responsible for recording concerts attended and keeping a program as proof of attendance. B. Concert attendance should be recorded on the Attendance Report Form provided in the following manner: 1. Fill in a concert date in every space (a blank space = No Credit). 2. Collect a program, which will be proof of your attendance, from every concert attended, including student recitals. If you do not have your program, you may do the following: a. For lost concert series and outside concerts, staple your ticket stub to a half sheet of paper and use that in place of your program. b. For loss of both program and ticket stub, you may submit a written statement of program content, performers, and other pertinent details. (If you lose a program from a Music @ Noon or Student Recital, you will not receive credit. There is no back- up for these performances.) 3. Programs should be stacked in the same order as recorded on the Attendance Report Form, from the top down, and placed behind the report form, inside the 10x13 envelope. 4. Blue student recital programs should not be folded and the date must be visible. 5. Do not staple or paperclip your programs in groups. 6. Remove old programs from previous semesters. 7. If your envelope becomes ragged, you may use a new 10x13 white or manila envelope, but be sure to write your name in the upper right corner on the outside. Do not use any other kind of folder. C. The completed packet, with your name on the upper right corner on the outside, must be received in the Conservatory Office no later than 3pm on the Friday before Finals Week. It will be ready for pick up at the beginning of the next semester. D. Grading is given in the form of Credit/No Credit based on concert attendance. 5
