introduction Using these guidelines The following guidelines are provided to give you a basic understanding of how to correctly and effectively use the Canon imageanyware logo. It is important to refer to the Canon Mark Guidelines book for further explanation of how to use the Canon brand elements. The Canon imageanyware logo is to be used only in Canon Americas. 1 By accurately implementing the Canon imageanyware Identity Guidelines you protect and promote the integrity of the Canon brand. What is Canon imageanyware? Critical to thriving as a company in our everevolving world is having a single, common, meaningful positioning. A positioning that not only works throughout the Americas and is relevant to all our businesses, but one that also makes sense in today s connected, wireless world. That positioning is expressed in the simple, yet powerful trustmark, Canon imageanyware. Canon imageanyware creates a borderless environment of people, devices, images, and information that lets you live and work the way you want, anytime, anywhere. Canon imageanyware is our statement to ourselves and to our customers across the Americas that we are no longer a copier company, no longer a camera company that we are, in fact, no longer a stand-alone device company. What we are, instead, is one company, without borders, based on total networked imaging solutions for business and home. Canon imageanyware is a completely forward looking point of view that encapsulates Canon s technological innovation and vision and reflects where we re heading throughout the Americas today. Canon imageanyware represents a comprehensive inter-related set of core technological capabilities unmatched by our competitors that helps us to maintain our edge. When should the Canon logo be used? The Canon logo is to be used by itself and/or when reference is being made to the corporation. As an example, the Canon logo must appear by itself on letterhead, business cards, signage, and other applications making reference to the Canon corporation. Please refer to the Canon Mark Guideline book for proper usage of the Canon logo. When should the Canon imageanyware logo be used? To reflect our new point of view, the imageanyware slogan must appear in conjunction with the Canon logo for all advertising, promotional, and marketing communications materials in the Americas. imageanyware must always be shown locked-up with the Canon logo as a unit. It cannot be used as a separate logo. We are living in a time in which connectivity is ubiquitous, networking is commonplace, and content is becoming richer by the day. Canon imageanyware uniquely positions Canon to help thrive in this miraculous new digital world. Canon imageanyware Identity Guidelines

logo usage 2 The Canon imageanyware logo The Canon imageanyware logo consists of two distinct elements: the Canon logo and the imageanyware logotype. It is important to remember that the imageanyware logotype is never used separately from the Canon logo. Artwork for the logo is provided on the CD that accompanies these guidelines. Note: Please refer to Canon Mark Guidelines book for using the Canon logo as an individual mark. The Canon imageanyware logo The Canon imageanyware logo consists of two distinct elements: the Canon logo and the imageanyware logotype.

logo usage Clear space In order to preserve the integrity of the Canon imageanyware logo, it is important that no other logos, words or other graphic elements infringe on its space. A clear space is defined to separate the logo from its surroundings. 3 The clear space measurement is equivalent to 1/10 the length of the Canon logo. The distance between the logo and the edge of any paper, sign, or other application also needs to be greater than the clear space. The clear space measurement is equivalent to 1/10 of the length of the Canon logo. The instructions on this page apply to all versions of the Canon imageanyware logo. logo usage 4 On Logo colors this page, you will find all the colors that make up the various components of the Canon imageanyware logo shown in these guidelines. The breakdown of these colors is supplied to ensure proper reproduction. The Canon Red shown is not a color sample. For the color sample, please refer to the Pantone page in the back pocket of this booklet. When it is not possible to use Canon Red as a separate color, you may use the substitute values as noted below. Spot Color Pantone 485C (485U is prohibited) Canon Red Process CMYK 0/100/100/5 On-screen RGB 188/0/36 Process CMYK 0/0/0/100 Black On-screen RGB 0/0/0

logo usage Logo color versions The matrix shown here represents all versions of the Canon imageanyware logo. The fullcolor positive logo is the preferred version for all communications. 5 Artwork for the logo is provided on the CD that accompanies these guidelines. Note: Please refer to the Canon Mark Guidelines book for complete background and usage specifications. Full color Positive and Reverse The full-color positive Canon imageanyware logo is the preferred version. It is strongly recommended that this version be used in branded applications whenever possible. One color Positive and Reverse When reproduction constraints prevent the use of the full-color Canon imageanyware logo, use one of the alternative positive or reverse versions. These logos should never appear on a Web site, printed brochure, or any other application where a full-color logo is usable. Canon imageanyware Identity Guidelines

logo usage 6 Unacceptable uses Applying the Canon imageanyware logo correctly is essential to our communications. The examples on this page represent just a few examples of the unacceptable uses of the logo. The instructions on this page apply to all versions of the logo. Note: Never attempt to redraw any of the elements of the logo.
