Bostic spent more than 10 years as vice president and associate corporate counsel for Raymond James Financial, representing it in FINRA arbitration claims, customer complaints, and regulatory inquiries. During his 33 years of legal practice, he has worked as an Assistant United States Attorney; Assistant Minority Counsel to the United States Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations; and in private practice, focused on complex civil and criminal litigation related to racketeering, bank fraud, securities fraud, antitrust, embezzlement, environmental crimes, and money laundering. Sean Carter is a lawyer, author, comedian, and self-described Humorist at Law with Lawpsided Seminars in Mesa, Arizona. He has provided his unique brand of CLE (comedic legal education) for more than 250 organizations. His programs all have one thing in common humor, and plenty of it. He is the author of the comedic legal treatise, If It Does Not Fit, Must You Acquit?: Your Humorous Guide to the Law. Mr. Carter has also written numerous syndicated legal humor columns. Ruth Anderson Gates is senior counsel in the product liability group at Nissan North America Inc. in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Prior to joining the company in 2006, she practiced with the largest law firm in Austin, Texas, where the majority of her practice was devoted to representing automotive and pharmaceutical clients in product liability actions. She co-authored An Overview of Oklahoma Product Liability Law, 73 Okla. B.J. 2231 (2002), which won the Oklahoma Bar Journal s Golden Quill Award. Lisa Gilford, a partner in the Los Angeles office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP, was recently named as 4 one of the Top 100 Lawyers by the Los Angeles Daily Journal and is consistently listed among the Top Women Litigators in California. She focuses on class actions, product liability law, and jury trials. She has represented major members of the automotive, insurance, communications, oil and gas, aerospace, chemical, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical industries. C. Meade Hartfield is an attorney with Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz PC, with offices in Birmingham, Alabama, and Jackson, Mississippi.
