E.ON Connecting Energies Your partner of choice for integrated energy solutions

Would you like to reduce your company s energy costs? Do you have ambitious environmental objectives? Are you concerned about the security of your energy supply? Then we are your energy partner of choice. From initial analysis and design, to building, financing, operating and maintaining we can provide you with an integrated energy solution, taking a holistic perspective on your energy needs. We make your energy savings happen! Our core services at a glance How our integrated energy solutions work Additional E.ON services Energy analysis & consultancy Who we are and what we do E.ON Connecting Energies is a business unit of E.ON that offers integrated energy solutions and energy efficiency services for the lighting, cooling, heating, process steam and electricity needs of our commercial and industrial customers as well as public-sector institutions. We help to sustainably reduce our customers energy and operating costs. We optimise existing plants and systems as well as plan, design, finance and operate new, modern and highly efficient plants or systems at our customers sites. We also integrate our customers plants into our Virtual Power Plants (VPP) and open up an additional cash income for them. Furthermore, we provide a complete energy management service for a wide range of customers including retailers, shopping centres, assembly plants, production facilities, distribution centres, data centres, hospitals and office buildings. We even provide a savings guarantee! Over the past ten years, we have generated cost savings for our customers of between 20 to 40%. Expert knowledge and the latest technologies for an optimal solution We work with you to identify the best energy solutions for your business. Using modern IT and data-analytics capabilities, we analyse your current situation and define your specific energy needs and targets. Our experienced energy experts then review the results and, based on your further input and feedback, make recommendations to achieve the optimal overall results for you with a focus on your business case. We always consider your economic interests since not everything that is technically possible is also economically viable. We start by identifying all opportunities for reducing your energy consumption. We analyse the savings potential of your existing energy infrastructure before we suggest new investments in energy efficiency projects. We investigate the additional benefits you could achieve through the use of on-site generation solutions and renewable technologies. And our energy experts identify and discuss with you possible sources of flexibility embedded in your energy infrastructure, including your back-up or non-essential power supply, which may give you additional cash income when monetised on our Virtual Power Plants (VPP). E.ON Connecting Energies can provide you with an integrated energy solution, taking a holistic perspective on your energy needs, your process requirements and your comfort objectives in each of your facilities and across your entire estate. Virtual Power Plants & Demand Response Management Competence in implementation and operation with proven results E.ON Connecting Energies On-site generation & renewable energies As a provider of energy as a managed service, we make life-time energy and operating cost savings happen across the energy infrastructure of your facilities. On-site generation & renewable energies All energy services: 1 provider The building blocks of our integrated solution Energy analysis & consultancy Analysis: In close collaboration with you, we first determine the energy optimisation and savings potential at your facilities. Planning: Based on your priorities and business requirements, our project management experts design a tailored solutions package that fits your specific situation. Implementation: We carry out the entire management of the agreed project on your behalf and manage all interfaces for you. Energy efficiency measures Experience in planning, implementation and operation: > 25 years Decentralised flexibility in our international portfolio: > 280 MW Energy requirements: We supply electricity, heat and cooling for air conditioning and refrigeration as well as process steam/heat/cooling and compressed air for production processes for any operation size. Technologies: We are technology agnostic and therefore source the most advanced technologies including combined heat and power (co-generation) and combined cooling, heating and power (tri-generation), high-efficiency boilers, gas engines and gas or steam turbines, with heat pumps or with photovoltaics. Complete solutions: Our on-site generation solutions cover the entire value chain from design and engineering to procurement, financing, installation, operation and maintenance throughout the whole technology life cycle. Virtual Power Plants & Demand Response Management Flexible sources of energy: We work with you to identify the sources of flexibility in your company on-site generation units (e.g. CHP, diesel generators or PV systems), controllable loads (e.g. from industrial processes, air conditioning systems or pumps) and energy storage opportunities (e.g. cold storage, compressed gas, battery). We monetise the flexibility of your asset base on our VPP platform and pre-qualify your assets on the short-term energy markets. We sell the excess energy and/or capacity for you into the energy markets, such as wholesale (spot or intraday) and reserve markets, or optimise locally, for example, by reducing your peak loads to generate additional income. Average savings: 20 40% Technologies: We optimise lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, boilers, chillers and compressed air. These account for 95% of building energy consumption. With regard to individual technologies, we can even save > 85%. Measures: We achieve these major savings, for example, by connecting your Building Energy Management System (BEMS) to our 24/7 remote control from our Energy Management Centre, analysing your energy data online and optimising your building energy consumption and efficiency opportunities. Building types: We optimise sales outlets, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centres, office buildings, data centres, hotels, hospitals or universities. Customers: 33 million Additional E.ON services More than 58,000 E.ON employees provide decades of energy knowledge and work tirelessly to bring the latest innovation and cutting edge energy solutions to you. Offering a complete energy package is our strength. We also provide technical services and operation and maintenance in all other energy-related areas of your organisation.
