Sometimes it is needed to control your LED screen remotely from a long distance to save time and traveling expenses. The LED screen can be controlled remotely by connecting the LED screen's controlling computer to the internet through a fixed IP or dynamic IP (use DynDNS for dynamic IP's). You can use desktop sharing applications to control the LED Studio software or any other LED screen controlling software, or you can use the build-in network control module of the LED Studio software. In this article we will explain how to use the LED Studio build-in network control module to control remotely your LED screen over a long distance from any part of the world. Remote Manager (Online) If you want to operate your LED screen by network control, you must setup the computer which controls the LED screen to the remote control server, the other computers set as costumer computers. The remote control server can be controlled by all the customer computers within the network. The customer computer may control all remote control servers within the network. If you want to carry out the remote control on the Internet, the remote control server must dial up, can t be by LAN, otherwise it can t be connected. Remote Control Server Setup Select Option Software setup Networking, and then enter to the Software setup dialog box, as shown on the image below. Select Local Led screen and Remote manager (online), and type in a non-used Port number (normally the default number 6600 will be fine). Send Files Remotely to LED Screen By clicking on Send files, you may enter the Send file dialog box, as shown in the image below. All files will be sent to the sub-catalog PRGDATA under the install catalog of the server. You may input objective catalog to create sub-catalog. When sending a program over long-distance (No LAN), adapting the Remote Manager (online) dial up is inconvenient, because the IP address is not fixed, and you must check the IP address when connecting. However, the Remote Manager (offline) can deal with the inconvenience. If the company has its own website, and the IP address of the website is static, the client-side sends the programs to the website, and service-side get and play the program from the website through setting time. Setup Remote Server Select Option Software setup Networking, and then enter Software setup dialog box, as shown in the image below; select Local Led Screen and Enable Remote Server (offline). - Time: at minutes interval to check it in the website; if updating program, download it. 7 / 10
