DOCTOR OF MINISTRY 2 weeks face-to-face each summer Visit a new place each year 3 year mentorship with Lead Faculty Scholar and National Author 24 inspirational voices, scholars, and award winning authors Online research tutoring Each calendar year two Seminar Courses and one Project Course will be completed. The Project Courses are online, 6 weeks in length, and begin each January. The Seminar Courses are 2 weeks in length and take place every June for 3 years. These courses take place on location with a faculty mentor and guest speakers. Two courses are offered over two adjacent weeks. To help the student learn and prepare, each course opens for online dialogue 6 weeks before the June intensive week and continues 9 weeks afterwards. Seminars typically include both spiritually formative and integrative elements (e.g. Bible, theology, church history, and praxis theory). LEADERSHIP IN SIZE & SOCIO-ECONOMIC DIVERSITY LEAD-711 I June 20-24,2016 I SCreditHours LEADERSHIP SEMINAR: Foundations of Urban, Rural and Suburban Leadership This course will facilitate the student in contrasting, evaluating and formulating a personal and contextualized approach for their leadership. Varying contexts for the student's leadership application and development will be evaluated and examined, including but not limited to socio-economic influences of urban, rural and suburban environments. LEAD-7121 June27-July1,2016 I 5CreditHours LEADERSHIP SEMINAR: Foundations of Small and Large Ministry Leadership This course will assist the student in designing leadership strategies and tactics that are relevant to the size of the ministry they currently lead. In addition, the student will learn how to adapt their leadership strategies and tactics to adjust for changes in organizational size due to growth. MIN-701 I Beginning Mid January I 2 Credit Hours I Online STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM- Project Course The professor will help the students identify a problem to tackle in their program and project. The student will draft Chapter 1 of their project at this time.

The importance of Wesley's four factor methodology of conversion, social need-meeting, small group discipleship and godliness will be studied in the English universities, churches, and countryside from which it emerged. LEAD-714 I June 26-30, 2017 I 5 Credit Hours LEADERSHIP SEMINAR: Foundations of Multiplication & Renewal Leadership The early Wesleyan Movement quickly renewed marginal congregations and multiplied new ones. The methodology involved in organizational renewal and diversification will be studied in England, where similar modern- day Wesleyans are turning around and multiplying the Church through The Fresh Expressions Movement, Alpha Groups, etc. MIN-702 I Beginning Mid January I 2 Credit Hours I Online LITERATURE REVIEW- Project Course The professor will help students conduct a review of literature related to the student's topic. Students are assigned a Project Advisor who helps guide them through graduation (this may or may not be the same person as their Faculty Mentor). The student will draft Chapter 2 of their project at this time.
LEADERSHIP IN THE MULTI-CULTURAL MOSAIC LEAD-715 IJune18-22,2018 I 5CreditHours LEADERSHIP SEMINAR: Foundations of Multi-cultural and Multi-ethnic Leadership The student will learn how to adapt their leadership style to changes in cultural and ethnic contexts, while respecting indigenous and historical approaches to leadership. The development of leadership teams will be examined and effective approaches to intercultural team leadership generated. LEAD-7161 June25-29,2018 I 5CreditHours LEADERSHIP SEMINAR: Foundations of a Leadership Specialty ( student choice) This course will allow the student to investigate, compare and construct specialized leadership strategies and tactics from their five previous seminars that are relevant to their upcoming project. MIN-703 I Beginning Mid January I 2 Credit Hours I Online METHODS OF RESEARCH- Project Course The professor will help students choose a research method to use to investigate their chosen topic. The student will draft Chapter 3 of their project at this time.
YEAR4 ONLINE DMIN PROJECT COURSES MIN-800,801,802 I 1CreditHour for800&801 I 0CreditHourfor802 MINISTRY PROJECT COURSES The first phase of the DMIN ends when the student's course work is completed and the three chapters they have written in the online courses are submitted as a Project Proposal. When the proposal is approved the student enters the project phase, where the student and his/her Project Advisor implement the study, gather results, and draw conclusions. This second part, where they finish writing a Project, could take as little as a year, although the student customarily has four years in which to finish it.
