MT Monitor User Guide Introduction The MT Monitor application was created to provide medical transcriptionists with real time feedback for documents they transcribe on one of the supported Medical Transcription platforms. As soon as you sign off a document, a popup window will inform you of the line and character counts for that document, along with daily and billing cycle totals. See Figure 3 below. This application runs in the background with an icon running in your Windows task bar (Figure 1). You will notice the icon changes colors. When the pencil part of the icon is red MT Monitor is idle and not tracking document changes. As soon as a supported Medical Transcription Platform is running MT Monitor start tracking documents and the icon changes to a normal pencil color. View Last Document Allows you to review details regarding the last document you transcribed along with viewing your daily and billing cycle totals. You can tell if last document transcribed was a Speech job when the Speech Job image is present. Along the bottom of the popup window your current billing cycle is displayed. See Figure 3 below. Figure 3: MT Monitor Popup Configure MT Monitor Here is where you have the option to configure any option regarding the application. See Figure 4 below. Popup Settings Here you can configure how long and where on the screen you want the popup window to be displayed. This popup window shows up after each job is completed. See Figure 4. Daily Goal Settings You can configure a personal daily goal based on lines or characters. Once you hit that selected value, the popup window background will change to the color green. Billing Cycle Settings These values are provided to you by your MTSO. This informs you of your billing cycle definition and will allow you to track your billing cycle progress seen in the MT Monitor popup window. See Figure 3 above.
Figure 4: MT Monitor Configuration. Submit Timesheet This link will redirect you to the website where you can submit your timesheet. For detailed instructions regarding the one time self registration process and submitting your timesheet refer to the below online document. Online Timesheet Documentation Reports This menu option will launch the built in reporting module that provides MTs with some standard reports. Detailed Reports Shows the details for individual documents transcribed Summary Report By Billing Cycle System Provides a summary report broken down by each billing cycle that then drills down to the actual systems the MT transcribes on. Summary Report By System Day Provides a summary report by the system the MT transcribes on with the ability to drill down to individual days.
Authorized Systems This window will display the list of available Transcription Systems you have rights to transcribe on. This is determined by the MTSO you work for. If you don t have rights to transcribe on a system you will notice MT Monitor is off because the pencil Icon will turn Red. MTSO Registration The first time MT Monitor is run you will be presented with this window below. This MTSO Code is used to register this application with the Medical Transcription Service Organization (MTSO) that you work for. This should only happen once per MT. Alternatively if you have already installed MT Monitor but are moving to a new machine or reinstalling MT Monitor you can enter in your specific Serial Number that was already generated from your previous install. If you don t recall your Serial Number your MTSO can provide it for you. Figure 7: MTSO Registration
Register There is a 15 day trial of MT Monitor, but prior to that expiring the MT should register the application. This is needed to provide the MT with support along with unlocking the application for unlimited use. Figure 8: Registration Check for Updates Frequently there are updates for MT Monitor. Normally these updates are automatically downloaded by MT Monitor, but the MT can manually check for updates from this form. If updates are available you will be presented with an option to download them.
