/ #& '()# * Sometimes there are special circumstances you'll want your timesheet Approver to know about. You can leave a comment on your timesheet that the Approver will see when he or she opens it up for approval. To leave a comment, do this: 1. %)##&'()# * You may need to print a copy of your timesheet to give an Approver, or maybe you just want to keep a paper copy for yourself. To print your timesheet, do this: 1. Click the Preview button near the bottom of your timesheet. Note: On most computers, the timesheet is too big to be seen all at once. You can make the text size on your screen smaller by clicking "View" and "Text Size" from your Explorer browser menu (or similar commands in other browsers). With smaller text, you can see the whole timesheet before printing. This is optional. See the example on page 14. 2. Click File from the browser menu. 3. Click Print. 4. " (##&'()# * When your timesheet is ready to submit for approval, it's important for you to preview it first. Check over your hours and make sure the days, numbers, and earning codes are all correct. After you ve previewed, submit your timesheet as follows: 1. Click the Submit for Approval button at the bottom of your timesheet. Note: This page contains the Certification Statement. Typing your PIN here is similar to signing your timesheet; it certifies that you approve the timesheet information is accurate. 2. In the PIN box, type your PIN number. Note: If you have never changed your PIN, it will be either: a. Your birth date, in MMDDYY format (ex: 042458); or b. The last 6 numbers of your Banner / Student ID 3. Click the Submit button. IMPORTANT: ZERO HOURS WORKED If you DID NOT work during a pay period but must submit a timesheet to indicate you did not work, enter a 0 (zero) into ONE of the earnings codes before clicking the Submit button.

%#&# *)*)! Some WSU employees have more than one job at the university, or do work under more than one job or position title. If this is you, you'll need to submit separate timesheets, one for each job or position. To open a second timesheet, do this: 1. Click the Position Selection button at the bottom of your active timesheet. 2. Click the circle for the job or position you want to select. 3. From the Pay Period and Status dropdown box, select the current time period. 4. Click the Timesheet button.

)#& (,#)#(# (If you don't know what an "account distribution" is, this section probably isn t for you.) Some WSU employees need to charge some of their hours to one account, and some to another. Each account has it's own "index" number, and this is how your timesheet keeps track of which WSU account pays for which hours. If you need to distribute your hours to more than one account, do this: 1. Click the Enter Hours link for the Earning type and Date. 2. In the Hours box, type the total number of hours worked. 3. Click the Account Distribution button. 4. Click the Update link. 5. In the Enter hours to be changed box, type the number of hours for this date that you want distributed to another index. Note: Your timesheet automatically charges hours to your primary account/index, so here you re entering the additional one(s). 6. In the Index box, type the additional index number. 7. Click the Default from Index button. 8. In the Account box, type the account code. 9. Click the Save button. 10. Click the Previous Menu button. 11. Click the Timesheet button.,
