This Document provides an overview about current available versions of SAP E-Commerce/ SAP Web Channel Enablement. Maintenance periods differ from version to version and the aim of this document is to provide a clear guidance which versions will be supported and can be chosen for an upgrade. NAMING The applications bundled by the solution currently called SAP E-Commerce for ERP-Backend and SAP Web Channel Enablement for CRM-Backend have been named differently in the past. VERSIONS At present the following list of versions is available for customers: NW AS Java = SAP NetWeaver AS Java NW AS Java 7.3+ = NetWeaver 7.3 including EHPs and NetWeaver 7.4 ERP 6.0 EHP4++ = ECO version is compatible with ERP 6.0 starting with EHP4 and all higher EHPs 3

E-Commerce applications were initially optimized for the usage on SAP NetWeaver 7.0x. With the delivery of SAP NetWeaver 7.3 (short: NW7.3) ECO and WEC 7.0, 7.01, 7.02 have been enabled for NW 7.3 (and higher). Please note that with SAP Business Suite 7 Innovations 2013 (including SAP CRM 7.0 EHP3 and SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7) only applications running on NetWeaver 7.3 (and higher) are included. => SAP Business Suite 7 Innovations 2013 only introduces an E-Commerce 7.33 version. NETWEAVER TECHNICAL DIFFERENCES NetWeaver 7.0x is based on Java 1.4, whereas NetWeaver 7.3 and higher versions are running on Java 1.6. Java Java 1.4* NW AS Java 1.6* NW AS Java 7.0x. 7.1x, 7.2 7.3x, 7.4 Maintenance End: 31.12.2017 Maintenance End: 31.12.2020 *Java Versions supported by SAP for WEC and ECO: SAP JVM 4.1 Java 1.4 SAP JVM 6.1 Java 1.6 Thus, from a technical point of view it is important to differentiate between WEC/ECO running on NW AS JAVA 7.0X, 7.1x, 7.2 or on NW AS Java 7.3x, 7.4 release. From a functional point of view there is no difference. The following versions are functional equivalent: 7.0 7.30 7.01 7.31 7.02 7.32 The following list of notes provides more information: 1920326 - Oracle JDK support agreement terminated 1495160 - SAP JVM as replacement for Partner JDKs 1.4.2 Applications delivered with SAP Business Suite 7 will be generally supported until 31.12.2020. An extended maintenance will not be offered. See note 1648480 for a more detailed list on affected applications. The restrictions mentioned in note 1648480 include important information for ECO/WEC: Applications based on Java 7.00, 7.01, 7.02, 7.03 will be supported in mainstream maintenance to 31.12.2017. Extended maintenance will not be offered. Applications based on Java 7.10, 7.11, 7.2, 7.30, 7.31 will be supported to 2020. 4

MAINTENANCE PERIODS ECO and WEC are delivered as part of their related backend systems and not as its own product version. Hence, maintenance periods are also aligned with the backend: ECO 5.0 was initially delivered with SAP CRM 5.0 which is already in customer-specific maintenance (extended maintenance ended in March 2014). Only for E-Commerce 5.0 with ERP backend a product version called SAP E-Commerce 5.0 for SAP R/3 has been created. The supported backend at shipment was ERP 2004 for which the application has been optimized. SAP E-Commerce 5.0 for SAP R/3 can also be used against SAP ERP 6.0, whereby the scope of functionality available is determined by the E-Commerce version. For the use of this combination, SAP offers maintenance up to December 31, 2015. WEC 6.0 will be maintained according to the maintenance dates of CRM 2007: End of mainstream maintenance: March 31, 2013 End of extended maintenance: March 31, 2016 For applications delivered with SAP Business Suite 7 the maintenance periods are derived from the underlying NetWeaver versions: WEC/ECO 7.0, 7.01, 7.02 => End of Maintenance: December 31, 2017 WEC/ECO 7.30, 7.31, 7.32, 7.33 => End of Maintenance: December 31, 2020 The following list of notes provides more information: 1583830 - Overview on maintenance cycles f. SAP Web Channel components 1417129 - Maintenance Strategy for 'Internet Sales R/3 Edition 4.0' 1587172 - Maintenance strategy for "SAP E-Commerce 5.0 for SAP R/3" 1761036 - Maintenance strategy for SAP E-Commerce/WebChannel 7.0+ 5

UPGRADE INFORMATION The illustrated combinations should be kept in mind when planning an upgrade. Until end of 2017 all applications should be upgraded to a version 7.3x (on a NetWeaver >= 7.3). An upgrade from one version to a higher one is generally possible. But it is important to verify that with an upgrade all affected applications will be upgraded as well. Please make sure that you do not run into one of the following upgrade scenarios, which invalidates your software landscape: Pitfall 1) Upgrade to a higher EHP with E-Commerce 5.0: Pitfall 2) Upgrade of SAP NetWeaver 6
