The New CPDA in Action AUGUST 3 5 THE HERMITAGE NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE

2012 A New Vision The Council of Producers & Distributors of Agrotechnology (CPDA) is the primary advocate of the inert ingredient, adjuvant and surfactant manufacturer, and supports formulators, distributors and generic manufacturers of crop and non crop agricultural technology products on federal legislative and regulatory issues.

New Mission Statement CPDA's mission is to ensure the success of its member companies by effectively managing relevant legislative and regulatory issues. These issues may include barriers to market entry, unnecessarily burdensome and costly regulations and mitigation of risk. CPDA champions public policy that utilizes the best available science while considering its impact on competitiveness in the U.S. marketplace. CPDA promotes its member company interests before the U.S. Congress, the Environmental Protection Agency, and other regulatory bodies that govern and regulate the industry. CPDA promotes the fact that its members produce high quality and environmentally sound products that provide economic benefits to the US farmer and other consumers.

Fiscal Administration Established fiscal sustainability of CPDA and revises resource assessments as needed. Developed a dues assessment schedule which reflects refocusing primary advocacy actions for the adjuvant and inert ingredient supplier and supplementary, targeted advocacy for manufacturers, formulators and distributors of agrotechnology products. Redefined revenue streams for dues assessment purposes as all inclusive of any sales into the pest control industry, including but not limited to: active ingredients, formulated pesticide products, formulated adjuvants, inert ingredients, and pre cursors to active ingredients or inert/adjuvant ingredients. Continuously re evaluate the needs of the membership with respect to public policy programs, and size and expertise of the CPDA staff relative to resource streams during the transition.
