Creating Accounts Once you receive an account activation code from Don Johnston or another Administrator, you will need to create your own account to start using the Educator Dashboard. (To watch a video about setting up your account, click here: How to Set Up Your Account) 1. In your web browser Navigate to educatordashboard.com 2. Click Create Account in the upper right corner. 3. Enter the Activation Code you received from Don Johnston or another Administrator. 4. You can use an existing login type that you may have with Google, Facebook, Windows Live or Yahoo! OR Create a new account with Don Johnston! Simply click Create account with Username & Password and fill out the brief form on the following page. 5. Click Create Account > at the bottom. Get to Know the Educator Dashboard Assess Set up Assessments Reassess Students Accommodate Give accommodations to students and Manage students with Accommodations. Slider Menu Button - Enables sidebar with My Account Sign Out Manage Educators How To... FAQ Support Terms of Use Privacy Policy and About Monitor Review Assessment and Accommodation Progress and Reports. Dashboard Areas Assess (Red) - Is the section where all assessment product information is found, and the section where all assessments are created and managed. Accommodate (Green) - This is the section where all accommodation product information can be found. The Accommodate section is where student user Activation codes are created, and student users are managed for accommodation products. Monitor (Yellow) - This is the area where all available Report data can be viewed. Click the Slider Menu Button in the upper right to access Manage Educators Manage Educators (Blue) - (Admin Only) This section is for managing other Dashboard users (Admins/Analysts/Educators). This includes viewing license details, creating activation codes, changing permissions, or passwords, and removing Dashboard users. 2 Educator Dashboard - Using the Educator Dashboard Don Johnston Incorporated

Managing Licenses and Creating Educators To create other Administrators, Educators or Analysts follow the steps below. 1. Click on the sliding menu button in the upper right corner to access more menu options. 2. Click on Manage Educators. 3. Select Give to Educators. 4. Under Step 1 - choose the Products Educators can access by clicking the OFF button so it reads ON. 5. Under Step 2 - Assign the user level permissions by clicking the OFF button so it reads ON (view user level descriptions). 6. In Step 3, you can assign the users to a group by typing the group name or names in the box separated by Enter or a Comma. Note: If you do not see the group name change to a blue box the group will not be added. Make sure to hit the Enter key or Comma after entering a group. 7. Click Create >. 8. You will be brought to a page with an activation code that you can distribute to your Educators to set up their accounts. Note: Email is often the easiest way to distribute the code. One activation code can be used to set up multiple accounts. Activation codes do expire after 14 days, but new codes can be created at any time. 9. Enabling Products If you already have an Educator Dashboard account you can enable your new products by following the steps below. 1. In your web browser Navigate to educatordashboard.com 2. Log into your account. 3. Click on the sliding menu button in the upper right corner to access more menu options. 4. Click on My Account. 5. Click on the Code link and enter the Activation Code you received from Don Johnston or another Administrator then click Apply. 6. Finally refresh your browser tab to view your new product additions. 4 Educator Dashboard - Using the Educator Dashboard Don Johnston Incorporated

Giving Students Access to Accommodations To give a student access to an Accommodation, follow the steps below. (To watch a video about setting up your students, click here: How to get Co:Writer Universal set-up) 1. In your web browser Navigate to educatordashboard.com 2. Log into your account. 3. Click ACCOMMODATE, and then click the accommodation you wish to have access to for the student. 4. Click Give to Students. 5. Click on Create >. Then, print or make record of the code displayed on this page. 6. Launch the Don Johnston Accommodation from your Chrome, Desktop or ios device, this will load the Sign In / Create Account window. 7. Click Create Account in the upper right corner. 8. Have the student enter the student Activation code. 9. They can use an existing login type that they may have with Google, Facebook, Windows Live or Yahoo! OR Create a new account with Don Johnston! Simply click Create account with Username & Password and fill out the brief form on the following page. 10. Click Create Account > at the bottom. Connecting with Existing Students If you have an Educator Dashboard account, you can connect, manage and gain access to existing student data by following the steps below. 1. In your web browser Navigate to educatordashboard.com 2. Log into your account. 3. Click ACCOMMODATE, and then click the accommodation you wish to have access to for the student. 4. Click Give to Students. 5. Click on Create >. Then, print or make record of the code displayed on this page. 6. Take the code to your student and have the student launch and sign into the Co:Writer Universal Chrome App, Chrome Extension or ios. 7. If using the Chrome Extension, right-click the Co:Writer icon in the upper right corner and select Options. Then click on the students name in the upper right corner. OR If using the Chrome App or ios, click the users name on the home screen. 8. Click on the Code link next to Connect with Educator, and enter the Activation Code you created and click Done. 9. You should receive a confirmation message that the code has been applied successfully. 10. When you log into the Educator Dashboard you will now see the student in your Manage list. 6 Educator Dashboard - Using the Educator Dashboard Don Johnston Incorporated

Signing into Your New Don Johnston Product with an Existing Account If you have a product like Co:Writer Universal and receive a code for another Don Johnston product, you can use your existing login information to sign in. You will be prompted to enter the new activation code after signing in. 1. Launch your new accommodation product. 2. Sign in using the same login information you use for your existing Don Johnston product(s). Note: You are not creating a new account with this step. 3.
