Page 1 of 9 The following information is for clarification, correction, and to answer questions and concerns Vendors bidding this project have expressed: 1. Clarification: The RFP due time has been extended to May 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM. 2. Question: As part of the submission process does the Performance Bond form need to be submitted? Or is this a form that is required once selected? Answer: The Performance Bond is required only by the successful selected Bidder. 3. Question: Is it one (1) hardcopy and one (1) electronic copy we submit or four (4) hardcopies and one (1) electronic copy? Answer: One hardcopy and (1) electronic copy. 4. Question: How many end user computing devices does your organization have? Desktops\laptops\tablets (Not including Smart phones, I-Pads or Android tablets)? Answer: Approximately 4,500 5. Question: How many locations does your organization have? Answer: 5 6. Question: Are the locations well connected? (VPN, MPLS and Bandwidth to/from each site)? Answer: 100Mbps to Rosemead, Muir and CDC. 7. Question: What percentage of your end user computing devices are portable? (laptops/tablets (Do not include smart phones)? Answer: 40%-50% 8. Question: What percentage are desktops? (Windows/Mac) Answer: 50%-60% 9. Question: What operating systems are supported in your environment? (Windows 7, 8.1,10, MAC OSX)? Answer: Windows 7, Mac OSX (Primarily 10.11.x), Windows 10 coming 10. Question: How many makes\models are supported in your environment? Answer: Approximately 15-20, primarily Dell desktops, imacs, MacBook Air, and Lenovo notebooks

(patch management, (WSUS) Software distribution (LANDesk, SCCM\Altiris, PDQ deploy, BigFix) operating system deployment (SCCM/Landesk/BigFix) Mobile device management? a. If so: Please provide a list of platforms, your organization has in use b. What challenges does your organization have with current platform? 12. Question: If yes to question 5. does your organization have internet based client management capabilities enabled? (Patch and push software to EUC devices to any internet facing client)? 13. Question: Does your organization currently have a mobile device management capability? (Airwatch\Intune\maas360)? a. If so which platform do you use? b. What challenges does your organization have with it? Answer: Limited MDM Meraki, but it s not used. Intent is to use SCCM MDM capability 14. Question: Does your organization have any experience or knowledge of the Systems Center suite? (operations manager, Configuration manager, orchestrator, service manager)? a. What are you looking for System Center to accomplish for your business? (What is the business driver for considering System Center products? Answer: Minimal. Patch and image management, Service manager that will allow for responsetime-based SLA management, user surveys, more efficient incident management 15. Question: Does your organization have a team, person\s who will be tasked with supporting SCCM and or supporting System Center Architecture? a. If No will you require training? b. Are you interested in managed services or staff augmentation? Answer: Training/Knowledge transfer is part of the SoW. Price managed services separately, but at this time we do not intend to use staff augmentation or managed services post-deployment. 16. Question: SCCM requires the implementation of several servers SQL, SCCM, Files servers (Distribution points) PKI (In support of internet based client management) does your organization currently have resources with capability to manage these platforms? a. If not, does your organization need formal training? b. Has does your organization considered managed services? c. Is does your organization open to or has it considered a hybrid model using Intune for device management and MDT with WDS for imaging devices? (Limits infrastructure footprint needed) Answer: We have the resources, but training would be needed as well. We may entertain managed services, but at the time we are not. We are open to a hybrid model, depending upon the specifics, but don t currently have an InTune subscription.

Page 3 of 9 17. Question: How many applications does your organization have in your environment? Answer: Hundreds 18. Question: What type of applications for your environment? (COTS\LOB\Web based)? Answer: All 19. Question: How does your organization currently deploy them today? Answer: Manually and via image 20. Question: Does your organization do any application packaging? a. If yes, what tools\methods do you use 21. Question: How does your organization currently image end user computing devices today? Answer: Drive replication and Ghost 22. Question: What Antivirus does your organization currently use? a. SCCM has System Center Endpoint protection integrated available do you wish to leverage it in addition or use what you already have in place? Answer: AVG is currently used. Initially we could leverage it in addition, possibly phasing out AVG after the license expires. 23. Question: How does your organization manage EUC device encryption today? (Intune and SCCM can manage Bitlocker centrally) Answer: We don t currently encrypt. Bitlocker would be an excellent addition to our environment. We do not have an InTune subscription 24. Question: How do you manage asset\inventory today? Answer: Access database. Would like to use SCCM 25. Question: Does your organization require monthly quarterly\annual detailed reports or basic inventory reports? a. Basic: How many, what kind, what is installed, is it patched, what is installed on it what is it s encryption and AntiMalware status) b. Detailed: Anything Windows can query on under the WMI database user details, system details, application details, compliance details, details of details.) Answer: Basic only, on demand currently.

Page 4 of 9 26. Question: Do you have plans to upgrade to Windows 10 and or O365 in the near future or have already completed? Answer: Yes. Windows 10 test deployments summer semester 2016 with probably campus upgrade by fall 2017. O365 likely within 1-2 years. 27. Question: Does your organization pre-image devices before they are delivered to the end user or do you use manufacture images and add software to them? Answer: We image them ourselves. 28. Question: Has an architecture been designed for SCCM, SCO or SCSM? 29. Question: Is Pasadena City College preference to install SCCM, SCO and SCSM in virtual servers, vs. physical servers? Answer: If possible. We don t yet have the architecture designed. 30. Question: Does Pasadena City College use Hyper-V or VMware for virtualization? Which version? Answer: VMWare V. 5.00 31. Question: How many Windows clients are there at Pasadena City College? Answer: Roughly 3500-4000 32. Question: Are all of the Windows clients in the same domain? Answer: We have two domains 33. Question: How many Windows Servers are there at Pasadena City College? Answer: 84 34. Question: Are all of the Windows Servers in the same domain? 35. Question: What is the oldest, supported Windows Client operating system that will require an SCCM agent at Pasadena City College? Answer: Windows 7

Question: What application do you want to be deployed via SCCM? Answer: Adobe Acrobat Professional 39. Question: What do you want in the reference image for Windows 7? Is it 32 or 64 bit? Answer: 64 bit both Windows 7 and Windows 10. OS and MS Office 2013 on Windows 7, Office 2016 on Windows 10. 40. Question: What is your current Windows 7, 64 bit desktop standard? Answer: Dell Optiplex 3020 41. Question: What client antivirus do you use? Answer: AVG 42. Question: Does the Pasadena City College have PKI to issue certificates? Answer: Yes 43. Question: How many Internet facing (non-domain) joined systems are there? Answer: Approximately 500 44. Question: What do you consider a successful test of the software update process to pilot computers? How many pilot computers and running which operating systems? Answer: Updates can successfully be pushed out at remote sites and on main campus systems. Pilot will consist of 100 networked computers total located in three different buildings on the main campus and 30 networked computers located at the Foothill campus. 45. Question: What is the size and scope of the test group of Internet based computers for Configuration Manager agent deploy tests? Answer: 130 systems

Answer: Properly configure SCCM to support MDM to be shown by successful deployment of client to test computers via MDM. 47. Question: Does Pasadena City College have an ipad for configuration in intune? What version of ipad?. Intune deployment has been removed from SOW 48. Question: Does Pasadena City College have an intune subscription?. Intune deployment has been removed from SOW 49. Question: Is Pasadena City College able to assign the RFP winner as the Digital Partner of Record for their intune subscription? Answer: We do not have an InTune subscription. Intune deployment has been removed from SOW 50. Question: How many Intune managed systems does Pasadena City College anticipate having? Answer: Zero. Intune deployment has been removed from SOW 51. Question: What are the success criteria for Deploy Configuration Manager Client via MDM to test group of computers? How big is the test group? Answer: A successful deployment of the client via MDM to a group of 130 computers spanning two physical campus locations. 52. Question: What are the success criteria for knowledge transfer to PCC staff? Answer: Clear written and verbal explanations/demonstrations of relevant work. 53. Answer: Configure relevant portions of SCSM according to agreed-upon criteria from scoping calls following bed award. 58. Question: What is activity management? Answer: Example: Assign phone incident to <queue>, start SLA clock. 59. Question: What do you want created in the service catalogue? Answer: Request offerings and service offerings typically used in a higher education IT space 60. Question: How many SLAs do you want created? Answer: Five priorities with escalation notifications 61. Question: How many standard workflows and associated templates do you want created? Can you share the process flows for these workflows on paper? Answer: Unknown at this time 62. Question: Do you want the native self-service portal or a 3 rd party? Answer: Unknown at this time 63. Question: What are the success criteria for knowledge transfer to PCC staff? Answer: Clear written and verbal explanations/demonstrations of relevant work. 64. Question: What are the success criteria for Configure Security? Answer: Assign appropriate security parameters for groups/users. Examples: View only or report only, administrator, enter/modify incidents, etc. 70. Question: What are the success criteria for knowledge transfer to PCC staff? Question: Is an earlier version of SCCM, SCO or SCSM currently installed at PCC? 80. Question: What is the standard Windows Server operating system in use at PCC today? Answer: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and Standard 50/50 mix 81. Question: Is PCC open to an Azure based installation of SCCM, SCSM and SCO? Answer: Potentially, but undecided 82. Question: What is the duration of the Project? Answer: Page 3 of the Bid package indicates the anticipated award is May 19, 2016 and the anticipated Completion date is October 30, 2016. 83. Question: What is the annual budget for this project? Answer: This project is not anticipated to run annually. The District is asking Bidders to evaluate the bid package / scope of work and provide a responsive, responsible proposal for cost. 85.
