Community College/Technical/Trade School Scholarship This scholarship is intended for students pursuing an Associate or technical degree in Transportation related studies. WTS fosters the development of women in the transportation field by encouraging bright new professionals to undertake careers in the area of transportation. One way it does this is by awarding the Community, Technical or Trade College Scholarships to women pursuing Transportation related study at community and trade colleges. The Community College/Trade School Scholarship is in the amount of $ 1,000. The minimum criteria for selection are as follows: a. Open to women b. GPA of 3.0 or higher c. Currently enrolled in a degree program in a transportation-related field. Applications must be submitted through local WTS chapters. The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific goals, academic record and transportation-related activities interest. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. National awards will be presented on May 16. 2013 and attendance at awards dinner is strongly recommended. Local Chapters may have additional requirements (such as personal interviews or higher GPA).
