Class of 2006 (n=292) First Destination Survey Report Coe College Career Services Mission Statement Empowering people to discover the importance of passion and personal fulfillment toward career and life goals. This information was compiled by the Career Services office from our Class of 2006 First Destination Survey sent to our alumni approximately one year after their May 2006 graduation. The initial survey was emailed to students twice. Students without current email addresses and/or who had not yet responded to the email survey were sent a copy by postal mail (their choices were to fill out the hard copy and return by mail or to fill out the survey online with the link provided). Out of the 292 alums, we gathered information on 211 (7 response). All percentages are based only on those who responded to the survey. Note: Not all questions were answered by all alums. This year we used additional resources to contact the Class of 2006, such as online social networks, faculty and staff. How 2006 Alums Were Contacted 24% 1 18% 44% Email Facebook Faculty/staff Parent Postal mail ZOOMInfo.com Phone calls 1

Only are still unemployed and still looking. Note: When alumni are contacted from our office, we remind them our services are available to them for any type of career and/or graduate school exploration. How they found their jobs: When working with all clients, we remind them that the most effect job search strategy is to use multiple resources. The 2006 survey invited participants to check all that apply for their job search strategies. Although Internet Job Posting was the top choice (37%) on how they found their jobs, we would venture to guess this was combined with other networking sources. Next year we will re-write the question so that we have a better understanding of the combination of resources that were most effective in their search.
