2 20 Graduate Survey In February of 202, graduates from the Mount Mercy University class of 20 were invited to participate in the annual, follow-up survey of graduates, designed to gather demographic information as well as employment and graduate school information. All graduates from the graduation dates of December 9, 200; February 6, 20; May 22 and May 29, 20 and August 2, 20 were contacted via announcements and distributed the link to the on-line survey. A drawing for five VISA cards was used as an incentive to complete the survey in a timely manner. A total of four invitations were sent to 42 graduates yielding 4 responses (27.7% response rate). The survey closed on April 30, 202. NOTABLE OBSERVATIONS Of those graduates responding, 25% were accelerated program graduates; 7% were graduate program graduates and 58% were traditional program graduates. These response rates mirror the actual make-up of the graduating class relatively close. Resondents to Survey Accelerated Prg Graduate Prg Traditional Prg Over three-quarters (79%) of traditional program graduates responding reported participation in field experience, practicum, student teaching,
3 nursing clinical or an internship. Of the traditional graduates participating, 85% received credit for their experience. Of those responding, only 5.3% reported they are currently unemployed and seeking employment; 67.6% reported being currently fulltime employed;.6% reported being employed part time; 3.5% reported status as being enrolled in graduate school; 2% are currently unemployed but not seeking employment. For the purpose of surveys: 92.7% of graduates report either being employed or going to graduate school within 9 months of graduation. 8.% report either being employed fulltime or going to graduate school. Respondents Employment Unemployed/Seeking Employed Fulltime Employed Part time In Graduate School Unemployed/Not Seeking Over half of the graduates (58%) reported entering new jobs after graduation and an additional 2% reported continuing with the same organization but in a new position. 75% of graduate program graduates, 28.6% of accelerated program graduates and 72.7% of traditional program graduates report having participated in at least one volunteer project while at Mount Mercy.
