SOLIDWORKS CAD Software Courses 100 SOLIDWORKS Essentials Length: 5 days SOLIDWORKS Essentials teaches students how to use the SOLIDWORKS to build parametric models of parts and assemblies and how to make drawings of those parts and assemblies. Prerequisite: Mechanical design experience; experience with Windows operating system. 104 SOLIDWORKS Surfacing Advanced Surface Modeling teaches students how to build freeform shapes using SOLIDWORKS CAD software. Introduction to solid-surface hybrid modeling and master model techniques are also covered. 101 SOLIDWORKS Advanced Part Modeling This course teaches students how to use multibody solids, sweeping and lofting features, and the more advanced shaping capabilities of SOLID- WORKS CAD software. 105 SOLIDWORKS Drawings This course teaches students how to make drawings of SOLIDWORKS CAD software parts and assemblies. Portions of this class are covered in the Essentials course. 102 SOLIDWORKS Sheet Metal Sheet Metal and Weldments teaches students how to build sheet metal parts using SOLIDWORKS. Building standalone sheet metal parts, converting parts to sheet metal, and modeling sheet metal parts in the context of an assembly are covered. 103 SOLIDWORKS Weldments Length: 1 day Weldments teaches you how to create welded structures with standard structural members. Weld beads are also covered. 106 SOLIDWORKS Advanced Assembly Modeling Advanced Assembly Modeling teaches students how to maximize the use of assembly modeling capabilities of SOLIDWORKS. Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials 107 SOLIDWORKS Simulation Designer Length: 3 days This course is designed to make SOLIDWORKS users more productive more quickly with the SOLID- WORKS Simulation Bundle. This course will provide an in-depth coverage on the basics of Finite Element Analysis, covering the entire analysis process from meshing to evaluation of results for parts and assemblies. The class discusses linear stress analysis, gap/contact analysis, and best practices. Prerequisite: Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS CAD software and basic mechanical engineering concepts is recommended.

SOLIDWORKS CAD Software Courses 109 SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional Length: 1 day SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional provides powerful tools that expand the capabilities of SOLIDWORKS Simulation, so you can investigate more tests and operating environments on both parts and assemblies. This course is designed to make SOLIDWORKS users more productive with SOLIDWORKS Simulation Professional analysis package. The class provides an in-depth coverage on the basics of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), covering the entire process from meshing to evaluation of results for parts and assemblies. It discusses linear stress analysis, heat transfer analysis, Frequency analysis, stability analysis based on linear buckling concepts, and pressure vessel modulus. Prerequisite: SOLIDWORKS Simulation course 110 SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium: Nonlinear This class will raise your SOLIDWORKS Simulation FEA skills to the next level! It offers hands-on experience on the use of SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium nonlinear module. The 2 day course provides an overview on a wide range of nonlinear structural/ mechanical analysis topics. You will learn how to deal with models that exhibit large displacements and/or yielding, discuss and practice the use of many material models available in SOLIDWORKS Simulation and, most importantly, how to drive a non-linear analysis to successful completions. Prerequisite: Must have attended the basic SOLID- WORKS Simulation class and have an experience with SOLIDWORKS. It is recommended that the student have a basic knowledge of finite elements and of basic mechanical principles. 111 SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium: Dynamics This course is targeted for users who would like to become productive in analyzing structures subjected to various types of dynamic loading. The material covered includes the time dependent analysis (force loads as well as motion shock loading examples), harmonic analysis and random vibration analysis (MILS-STD-810F example is included). Prerequisite: Must have attended the basic SOLID- WORKS Simulation class and have an experience with SOLIDWORKS. It is recommended that the student have a basic knowledge of finite elements, Basic mechanical principles, and basic principles in vibrations. 112 SOLIDWORKS Simulation Motion This course has been designed fro new SOLID- WORKS Motion users who would like to learn to perform motion analysis on their designs. The course provides an in-depth session on the basics of building, simulating, and refining a mechanical design system. Prerequisites: Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS and the basics of the MotionManager is required. If you are not familiar with the basics of the MotionManager, the class manager will send you a self-paced lesson that should be completed before class begins. Knowledge of basic mechanical engineering concepts is recommended. 113 SOLIDWORKS Simulation Flow The two-day training provides an in-depth session on the basics of fluid flow analysis, in addition to covering meshing concerns, modeling concerns, analysis, post-processing, available options and preferences.

SOLIDWORKS CAD Software Courses Prerequisites: Some experience using SOLIDWORKS 114 SOLIDWORKS Plastics The SOLIDWORKS Plastics course teaches you how to use specialized simulation software tools to predict how melted plastic flows during the injection molding process. Predicting how the plastic will flow enables you to predict manufacturing defects such as weld lines, air traps, short shots, and sink marks. By predicting these defects, you can change the part or mold geometry, the processing conditions, or the plastic material itself to eliminate or minimize them, saving energy, material time, and money. The SOLID- WORKS Plastics course covers all the features and functions of both SOLIDWORKS Plastics Professional (for part designers) and SOLIDWORKS Plastics Premium (for mold designers). Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials and a fundamental knowledge of plastic materials, plastic part design, and/or injection mold design. 115 SOLIDWORKS Routing Electrical Routing Electrical explains how to create, edit and manage Electrical routes, from the critical routing components and their design requirements to the sub-assemblies that contain the routes. Prerequisites: SOLIDWORKS Essentials 117 SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic The goal of this course is to teach you how to use SOLIDWORKS Electrical to optimize your drawings and designs for manufacturability so you can maximize quality, avoid rework and decrease time to market. This course is focused on 2D design. 118 SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D Length: 1 day The goal of this course is to teach you how to use SOLIDWORKS Electrical to optimize your drawings and designs for manufacturability so you can maximize quality, avoid rework and decrease time to market.
