Find the Inbox Click on the Mail icon on the View Switcher Select a desired e-mail account on the Navigation Pane Click Inbox folder for new incoming e-mail messages Click on Junk E-mail folder to check if any important messages was throw into by Outlook junk mail filter mistake The numbers next to each folder on the Navigation Bar indicates the number of unread messages in the folder In the Item Pane, the read e-mail messages are indicated with open envelop icons while the unread e-mail messages are indicated with closed envelops and stand out with bolded text Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 3
Check for New Mail In Outlook, you can manually check for mail, or you can set up a schedule to automatically check for new messages Manually check for new messages Click on Mail icon on the View Switcher Do one of the following: From the Standard Toolbar, click on the button in the upper left corner of the Standard Toolbar From the Ribbon, go to Home tab click Send/Receive From the Menu Bar, go to Tools menu point to Send & Receive click Send/Receive All Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 4
Change new incoming e-mail schedule options From the Ribbon, go to Tools tab click on the Schedules In the Schedules Preferences window, double click Send and Receive All to open the window to edit this schedule In the Edit Schedule dialog box, do the following: Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 5
Under When section, select when you want to check for mail, for example on a Repeating Schedule every 10 Minutes Under Actions, select Send All and Receive Mail Click OK button NOTE You cannot adjust the settings for an Exchange account because they have their own schedule Change new incoming e-mail notification options From the Menu Bar, go to Outlook menu click on Preferences Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 6

Read e-mail Do one of the following: Click on the e-mail message in the Item Pane and the e-mail message body is shown in the Reading Pane Double click on the e-mail subject in the Item Pane to read the e-mail in detail Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 8
Change the view of the Reading Pane Do one of the following: From the Ribbon, go to Organize tab click on Reading Pane choose a desired option from the list From the Menu Bar, go to View menu click Reading Pane choose view option Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 9
Change the order of e-mail message list By default, Outlook sorts e-mail messages by date. To customize the e-mail message sorting of e-mail message list in the Item Pane, do the following: Change the view of the Reading Pane to the bottom Do one of the following: Right click on the heading of each column in the Item Pane select a desired sort option such as Date Received to customize the e-mail message sorting Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 10

On the Search tab, do any of the following: Define the scope of the search by clicking a scope button such as SubFolders or All Mail. Add any of the following criteria to refine your search Click button to add criteria or button to remove criteria. Print E-mails Do one of the following: From the Standard Toolbar, click on the Print button From the Menu Bar, go to File menu click Print Press COMMAND( )+P In the Print dialog box, do any of the following: Click the Printer list down arrow to select your printer In the Copies textbox, enter the number of copies Select Collated check box to collate the copies Under Pages option, choose a desired page printing range option All to print all From to choose a page range Lasted Edited: 2012-07-10 13
