What is BUBL BUBL is a new brand representing a series of educational products for children who grew up in the era of ios, YouTube and the new media the era where the competition for the child s attention is unprecedented. We do not fight the future. We create products which help develop fundamental skills in the modern environment. Bubl utilizes digital art methods coupled with gaming mechanics to develop children s perception of links between color, sound and shape.
BUBL includes: A line-up of art apps for small children which helps develop the artistic perception of shape, colour and sound An ipad case that boosts manual dexterity and imagination Interactive art space where children and parents can experiment with digital and real objects
BUBL Tap Digital rattle toy for toddlers, helps develop shape and sound perception
BUBL Tap / Concept A digital rattle for babies and parents. Bubl Tap is an interactive environment, where every action carries a result. Bubl Tap develops eyesight, shape and sound perception. Every object, action and effect in Bubl Tap carries a strong connection between shape and sound. Due to ideal black and white contrast the child finetunes the eyesight and learns to recognize basic, clear geometrical shapes.
BUBL Draw A tool that uses music to draw. Helps perceive the links between colours, sounds and shapes
BUBL Draw / Concept Bubl Draw creates new music out of any drawing. Every colour has a corresponding musical instrument here that changes keys as the drawing changes shape. The complete lines and shapes turn into unique musical phrases that comprise a complete composition. Bubl Draw is an endless music box, an abstract musical and artistic tool, which helps perceive the connection between colours, sounds and shapes.
BUBL Draw / Approach Bubl Draw is inspired by the minimalist compositional approach of Philipp Glass and Steve Reich and Brian Eno s ideas about generative music. The harmony and structure is predetermined, but the arrangement and instrument lineup are controlled by the child. Inside the app there are three modes, each packed with a differenst set of colours, musical instruments and visual effects.

BUBL ipad case
BUBL ipad case / Idea Tactile experience is one of the most important child development factors, that s why we did not want to limit ourselves to digital products only. The Bubl case is made by parents for parents: non-toxic materials are used, it protects the tablet from falls, blocks the home key (which children often press accidentally), has a comfortable handle which can serve as a tablet stand should you want to put it upright.
our philosophy
Our philosophy We believe that children do not need to have preconceived images put into their heads by babytalking adults. We believe that abstract interactive games draw kids in, since they stimulate imagination better and develop creative thinking. We have created our own approach to interactive kids products basing it on our own experience, modern child development science and Wassily Kandinsky s works.
Our principles / Balance Balance abstract and specific We are against loud, in-your-face characters made in bad taste. Sure, they get children s attention easier than abstract toys, but they also limit their imagination. Of course, we don t think kids should only play with Waldorf faceless dolls. A balance of abstract and specific is needed. A good example of that is LEGO: they offer characters to kids, but always leave space for fantasy and improvisation.
Our principles / Digital Digital products do not have to imitate real ones It makes no sense creating apps that pretend to be paints or wooden cubes: you will always lose to the feeling of real paper and brushes. It is better to create products that expand the borders of perception. Our apps create systems that are impossible to recreate in real life. Most likely, you don t have singing paints at home, or a circle that turns into a lightning upon touch.
Our principles / Synesthesia Synesthesia as an artistic method Synesthesia is an ability to perceive reality as a flow of colour, sound and shape united. Synesthetes can hear colours and see shades of notes. We want to develop this ability in ourselves and our children. That s why we make products that help kids and adults alike feel the connection between shape, colour and sound. Synesthesia develops a more complete worldview. It betters our understanding of how things around us are connected.
Our principles / Communication An app as a parentchild communication tool Modern parents often turn off their kids with a tablet, so that they can have a moment of peace at home or in a restaurant. Our products are a tool for communication instead. You can play with them with your kids; they will undoubtedly provoke the child to ask all kinds of questions. They are designed to be played together with your child.
What we get inspired by Kandinsky He thought shapes and composition is more important in art than narrative and image. Brian Eno a sound producer who invented ambient music and the concept of generative music. He s behind Bloom - a brilliant ios app. Philipp Glass, Steve Reich are important minimalist composers who write music that is made up of repeating patterns, which the performers use to create the final composition themselves. Sesame Street They invited contemporary artists and composers to create animation pieces (for example, Philipp Glass wrote music for the Geometry of Circles series. http://www. youtube.com/watch?v=ch-r1aim-c0).
