Hazardous Waste 40 hour Course curriculum as outlined in 29 CFR Operations 1910.120. Course completion certificate from course instruct. Topics and instruct qualifications are provided in the standard. Annual 8-hr Refresher Microbial Remediation 24 hours Certification requirements exist in 4 states. (1) Microbiology, identification of microbial contamination and case studies, (2) Environmental assessment with particular attention to determining the scope of the project and HVAC systems; (3) Hazard Communication; (4) Potential Health Effects; (5) Respiraty Protection (6) Personal Protection Equipment; (7) Remedial techniques including but not limited to wk area preparation, creating negative pressure areas, controlling moisture, removal and decontamination, biocides, measures to prevent regrowth and case studies (to include hands-on activities); and (8) Federal, state, and local rules and/ guidelines. Guidelines are available on multiple sites. 2

Water Damage 20 hour (1) principles, research, and practical experience; Institute of 19 hours (2) Environmental assessment of the Inspection type and amount of damage to Cleaning and affected surfaces and materials; Certification (3) Techniques f drying affected Water Damage structures and surfaces including case studies; Certification (4) Recovery of materials exposed to water; (5) Development of a restation plan; (6) Standards of cleaning and water damage restation from clean and sanitary sources such as faucets; (7) Standards of cleaning and water damage restation from grey water having a level of contamination that may cause illness discomft; (8) Standards of cleaning and water damage restation from grossly unsanitary sources that may cause severe illness death; and (9) Federal, state, and local rules and/ guidelines. 3

Fire Damage 16 hours (1) principles, research, and practical experience; Institute of 14 hours (2) Environmental assessment of the Inspection type and amount of damage to Cleaning and affected surfaces and materials; (3) Development of a restation plan; Certification Fire (4) Techniques and methods f smoke and Smoke od removal); (5) Techniques f structure and Technician surface cleaning; and Certification (6) Standards of cleaning structures and surfaces, such as wood furniture, documents, books, and electronics. Polychlinated Biphenyls (PCB) Awareness 4 hours 40CFR Part 761 USEPA (1) Overview of federal, state, and local rules, regulations, standards, and guidelines; (2) Health effects and methods of moniting, assessing, and preventing exposure to PCBs; (3) Precautions f handling PCBcontaining PCB-contaminated building materials; and (4) Abatement Strategies, engineering controls and waste disposal. 4

Bloodbne Pathogens Master Environmental Hazard Remediation Technician-ATTACHMENT B 4 hours Training requirements in 1910.1030(g)(ii) Model Curriculum based on Standard: (1) An overview of the OSHA Bloodbne Pathogen Standard -29 CFR 1910.1030 (2) Epidemiology and symptoms of bloodbne diseases (3) Modes of transmission of bloodbne diseases (4) Methods f recognizing tasks and other activities that may involve exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials (5) The use and limitations of methods that will prevent reduce exposure including appropriate engineering controls, wk practices, and personal protective equipment (6) Infmation on the hepatitis B vaccine; and (7) Follow-up procedures to be taken in the event of an exposure incident. OSHA standard requires annual refresher of training. OSHA standard does not specify time allotment. 5

Infection Control 4 hours Risk Assessment (1) Overview of the process and imptance of perfming an infection control risk assessment; (2) Available state-of-the art methods of reducing risk from infection during planning, construction, renovation, and remedial and maintenance activities; (3) Wk area preparation and isolation including protection of HVAC systems and water supply; and (4) Federal, state, and local guidelines f protecting building environments from chemical, biological, radiological hazards. Instructs must possess knowledge of the topics that will be taught, which may have been acquired through such means as relevant training education relevant field experience and the ability to effectively communicate the topics that will be taught. 6
