Curved Quadrant Instruction Manual CQ IMPORTANT INFORMATION Toughened glass is completely safe for use in our shower enclosures and bath screens; providing our products are installed according to our guidelines. It is important to note that the glass must not be mounted or pinched in such a way that would cause a stress point to develop in the glass. In addition, it must not be subject to any sharp impact or severe temperature fluctuation which may also cause a stress point to develop in the glass. Toughened glass is physically and thermally significantly stronger than standard glass. During the toughening process the stresses contained within any glass are balanced so if in the unlikely event situation any of the above occurs and the glass breaks, the glass will shatter safely into small thumbnail sized blunt fragments. Ensure the tray is completely level and check for any movement by standing in it - correct as necessary. Please ensure that the tray is installed as per the manufacturers instructions. 3. Once tiling and grouting has been completed seal the tray fully along the tiled walls prior to installation with bathroom sealant (not supplied). NOTE: It is important that the tiled walls are grouted prior to the installation of the Enclosure as Grout will cause discolouration of the aluminium parts. Prior to fitting the enclosure and when the sealant has fully cured, spray the shower handset over the joints and check for any leaks.
Step - Fitting Wall Profiles 3 4. Place both Wall Profiles 0mm in from the outside of the tray. Make sure that both Wall Profiles are completely vertical using a spirit level and mark the wall through the slots with a pencil.. Drill the wall with a 6mm Masonry Drill Bit (not supplied) where the Wall Profiles are to be positioned. Fit the Wall Plugs supplied (if going in to a brick or block wall). If going into a plasterboard wall you will need to purchase appropriate wall fixings. Wipe clear all debris from the Tray before referring to the next stage. 3. Where both Wall Profiles are to be positioned on the Tray, place a bead of Bathroom Sealant (not supplied) the width of the Wall Profile along the tiled wall. Screw the Wall Profiles to the wall with 40mm Screws (supplied). Do not over tighten the screws into the Wall Profiles as this will misshape the Wall Profile. Ensure the Wall Profiles stay completely vertical throughout this procedure using a Spirit Level. No sealant should be present between the Wall Profiles and the tiled walls vertically prior to screw fixing. 4. Seal the gap between the Tray and Wall Profiles with a Bathroom Sealant (not supplied). Failure to carry out this procedure correctly can result in serious water damage and is not covered by the Guarantee.
Step 3 - Fitting The Frame This part of the installation requires people and a clear area in front of the shower tray in which to assemble the product prior to it being installed. 3 4 L Shaped Seal 40mm Screw 3 4 Glass Clamp 6 7 5. Lay the Bottom Rail onto the floor in front of the tray, and place it so that the curve follows the tray.. Assemble the two Fixed Panels to each end of the Bottom Rails and ensure that the L Shaped Seals are placed between the Bottom Rail and the glass. Screw together using two 40mm screws. 3. Place the Top Rail onto the assembly and fix into position using two further 40mm screws. 4. Remove the Glass Clamps on the Top Rail and slide the remaining L Shaped Seals between the Top Rail and glass. With the L Shaped Seals in position refit the Glass Clamps. 5. Place the Enclosure onto the tray and carefully push into the Wall Profiles, adjust until it is equally spaced. Check to see that the Enclosure is fully down on the tray and has an equal gap around the outside. This stage requires the help of an assistant. Please ensure that the Enclosure is completely level and vertical, failure to do so will cause the Enclosure Doors to hang incorrectly. 6. With the Enclosure completely level and vertical and an equal gap achieved all around the tray move inside the Enclosure and drill three holes through both Wall Profiles. Drill the holes using the.5mm Drill Bit (Supplied)00mm from top and bottom and the other to be placed in the centre. 7. Fix the 9mm screws into the base caps and screw fix into the.5mm drilled holes, push fit the Cover Caps.
Step 4 - Fitting The Doors and Caps 4 Clear Spacers 5 Glass Hole Spacer. Take one of the doors and place the bearings into the Top Rail.. At the bottom of the door remove the cover and unscrew the bearing assemblies, slot the bearings into the Bottom Rail then reassemble the bearing assemblies back onto the door. Refit the cover. 3. Follow Stages and to fit the other door. 4. Fit the Handles to the doors ensuring no aluminium touches the glass, ensure that both the Glass Hole Spacer and the Clear Spacers are fitted. 5. Fit the handed top caps to the top of the Fixed Panel vertical aluminium. Adding a small amount of clear sealent between the cap and the aluminium will stop the cap from moving.
Step 5 - Sealing 3 Inside View. Seal the wall profiles vertically, both internally and externally where they meet the tiled walls.. On the inside of the enclosure and on the Bottom Rail only apply a thin bead of clear Bathroom Sealant in the corner of both Fixed Panels. Also apply a thin bead of clear Bathroom Sealant around the Black Glass Clamps on both the Fixed Panels. Failure to carry out this Stage can result in the Fixed Panels leaking and is not covered by the guarantee. 3. Seal the base of the enclosure to the top of the tray from wall to wall on the outside only. Allow 4 hours for the sealant to fully cure prior to using the shower. At no stage should you seal the Enclosure along the top of the tray on the inside as this is a self draining unit. Failure to comply will result in the Enclosure leaking and is not covered by the guarantee. 4. Fit the Branding Badge (if applicable) onto a none moving part of aluminium to complete your installation.
