Supervisor: Bradley Hedges, Ph.D., PCC-S Description: This position involves coordinating the Sexually Abusive Developmentally Delayed program. This program is for adults with a diagnosis of a developmental disability and who have engaged in sexually inappropriate behavior. The goal of the program is to help clients manage their emotions and behaviors in order to reduce the risk of inappropriate sexual behaviors. Participants in the program participate in individual counseling and some also participate in group therapy services. As the program coordinator I am also responsible for facilitating relationships with community and referral organizations, assessing programmatic resource needs, monitoring the productivity of staff involved with the program, and conducting peer reviews/monitoring the quality of clinical services provided. A portion of my time is also spent providing individual counseling services to adults and children with a variety of mental health diagnoses. 2012-2013 Mental Health Assessor Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. Supervisor: Bradley Hedges, Ph.D., PCC-S Description: This position involved completing assessments including parenting evaluations, sexual offender evaluations, alcohol and drug assessments, mental functioning assessments, domestic violence assessments, attentiondeficit\hyperactivity evaluations, and mental health assessments. Description: This position involved triaging individuals attempting to obtain services from behavioral health. The phone triage process was utilized to guide individuals to the correct service. As a portion of this position, I also conducted psychological assessments of children and adolescents ages 4-18. Assessments were often requested to assist with diagnostic clarification including ruling-out a mood disorder, anxiety disorder, pervasive developmental disorder, disruptive behavior disorder, psychotic disorder, etc. Other assessments were conducted to assess current academic functioning and determine if an individual met criteria for a learning disorder or cognitive disability. 2005-2006 Partnership for Youth Suicide Prevention Psychological Assessments of Clients Receiving Community Based Services Supervisors: Janet Souder, Psy.D. and Linda Maxwell, LISW Description: Assisted with screening adolescents in their primary care setting to identify individuals at risk for suicide and those that could benefit from behavioral health services. Duties included assisting the primary care staff with triaging patients, conducting diagnostic assessments of individuals endorsing suicidal ideation, connecting identified individuals with ongoing behavioral health services, and administering psychological assessments. A portion of time was also spent conducting psychological assessments with individuals receiving community based services. 2004-2005 Residents in Schools Initiative Project Coordinator Supervisor: Mary Kuzma, M.D. Description: Coordinated grant-funded research project that allowed medical

interns and residents to enter into area elementary schools to educate children regarding healthy lifestyles. Duties included developing age appropriate health and mental health lesson plans, scheduling, developing and organizing visual teaching materials, providing lesson plans to interns and residents, and confirming that the needs of all participating children and medical residents were met. Description: Administered assessments measuring feelings of alienation to female first time offenders in a juvenile facility. 1998-1999 Honors Research University of North Carolina at Wilmington Department of Psychology Supervisor: Carol Pilgrim, Ph.D. Description: Focused on the acquisition of arbitrary relations and the emergence of stimulus equivalence following either thematic training or stimulus-control shaping. A matched-to-sample procedure was used to train two conditional relations, which resulted in the emergence of a third relation without training (e.g. if A=B and B=C, then A=C). Two procedures were used to assist the training process. The first method was called thematic training and consisted of training an individual to match physically dissimilar stimuli based on common category membership (e.g. boat and car are both modes of transportation). The second training method was stimulus-control shaping and involved initially matching two identical shapes. The comparison stimulus was then altered over a series of fifteen steps into the desired response stimulus.
