PREFACE Federal Contaminated Site Risk Assessment in : Part II: Toxiologial Referene Values (TRVs) was prepared in support of the Federal Contaminated Sites Aelerated Ation Plan (FCSAAP), a program designed to ensure improved and ontinuing federal environmental stewardship as it relates to ontaminated sites loated on federally owned or operated properties. This doument is a ompanion to Federal Contaminated Site Risk Assessment in : Part I: Guidane on Human Preliminary Quantitative Risk Assessment (PQRA) and was prepared by the Environmental Assessment Servies Division, Safe Environments Programme,. As the pratie of risk assessment advanes, and as the FCSAAP proeeds, new and updated information on toxiologial referene values and other aspets of risk assessment will be published. Therefore, it is reommended that preliminary quantitative risk assessments (PQRAs) for PCDDs/PCDFs in employ this more onservative TDI. h Although the TRV from the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines Supporting Doumentation is presented, it is reommended that the omparable TRV from the more reent assessment (, 1996) be employed for risk haraterization.
