WHAT IS A DLE? DLE (digital learning environment) ELO (elektronische leeromgeving or e- learningomgeving) LMS (learning managementsysteem) The DLE is the Digital Learning Environment: the sum of BRON: systems SURF and/or DLWO applications ontwikkelingen that supports education and learning processes. A lot of Dutch institutions use the term ELO (Electronic Learning Environment). This term causes a lot of confusion, because is it used to address a single applications (like Blackboard) as well as the whole of applications for education. LMS IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE NETHERLANDS Research towards LMS usage in the Netherlands, September 2013.
