Track 3: Online payments in Europe 14.00 Roberto Liscia - Founder and President of Netcomm an EMI initiative Working together on e-payments in Europe Since many years the merchant sector seeks for more alternatives for e-payments. With the ongoing growth of the e-commerce market the absolute value of fraud is growing. Credit cards have their strengths in terms of ease of use and acceptance, but certainly also their weaknesses when it comes to fraud. In 2011 merchants have listed their agenda in online payment by forming the EMI (Epayments Merchant Initiative, see www.epayments.eu ). This is a guideline for the (global) banking industry, as to where the e-commerce world is heading.
