Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has decided to have web based online software for receipt of the application form & option form (multiple rounds) for the admission to the Direct Second Year of four year Degree Course in Engineering/ Technology for the academic year 2014-2015. Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has identified some institutions from the state for the work of the receipt of the application form and option form herein after referred as Application Form Receipt Center (ARC) -cum-facilitation Center. The list of the ARC-cum- Facilitation Centers is attached herewith. The Director/Principal of the identified institute should appoint one coordinator & two supporting staff for this activity. The activities and facilitation charges are as follows. Activity-I: Submission of Online application form Sale of Application Kits. Activation of Application kits. Submission of Online application form. (For this activity the facilitation charges of Rs. 50/- should be collected from the candidate. It is not mandatory to the candidate to use facilitation of ARC for this activity. ) Activity-II: Verification of Documents, Confirmation of Application form for CAP Printing of Application Form for CAP Document verification as per the list of documents on the Application form Printing and Issue of Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement For this activity DTE will pay Rs. 50/- per confirmed application form to ARC. No charges should be collected from the candidate for this activity. It is mandatory to the candidate to report to ARC for this activity. Activity-III: Submission of online option form for CAP Round I/II Submission of online option form Printing of submitted option form (One Copy). It is not mandatory to the candidate to use facilitation of ARC for this activity. For this activity the facilitation charges of Rs. 50/- should be collected from the candidate if candidate uses facilitation of ARC for this activity. The activity-i, III are optional to the candidates. The activity-ii is mandatory to the candidates. Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai will pay Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty Only) per confirmation of receipt of application form after successful completion of the admission process of the respective courses. The distribution of the amounts collected under above activities between staff & institute is given in the following Table. The ARC Payments shall be done by strictly by NEFT, hence the ARC officer should update the Institute profile with Bank Details (Account Number, ISF Code and Name), through Institute Login. Important Instructions to ARC officer:- 1. ARC shall contact to the respective Regional Offices for how to declare their Institute as ARC through the Institute Login and collect Instruction Manual through mail from the respective Regional Offices without fail. 2. Respective Regional Offices shall distribute the application kits to the ARC well before the commencement of the admission activity. Kit s distribution shall be based on the performance of the ARC in 2013-14 excluding new ARCs. 3. Sale of application kits shall be done through ARC. ARC shall activate the sold kit s ID through ARC Login so that candidate shall be able to fill online application form. Avoid pre activations of the kits. 4. All ARC s are warned that they are not permitted to activate application kits in advance, which later remains unsold but reflected in the ARC sale account, if such cases found, the amount of such kits shall be deducted from the honorarium of the ARC. 5. ARC shall accept the Fees of Rs.500/- (For General) & Rs.400/- (For reserved category candidates of Maharashtra State) in cash only. 6. ARC officer shall close the account by giving details of the fees collected and unsold kits to the respective Regional Office within 15 days after the end of the Activity-II: Verification of Documents, Confirmation of Application form for CAP as per the notified schedule. 7. The ARC shall assist the aspiring candidate in submission of Online Application Form, arrange training programme/counseling/live demo. 8. Role of ARCs is limited to verification of documents and confirmation of application form and they should not insist or compel candidates to fill & confirm option form at the ARC. 9. ARCs should scrutinize and verify the documents carefully with at most correctness. Any fault or negligence at the level of ARC will be dealt seriously. Due to fault or negligence on the part of ARC if any candidate has to suffer after admission, responsibility of such admission will be fixed on particular person working in ARCs and appropriate action will be taken against such persons. 10. If any ARC found involved in any form of unlawful activities like misguidance and non cooperation to the aspiring candidates, ARC will be liable for severe action like non payment of honorarium dues and /or disqualified as ARC activities henceforth. The Minimum infrastructure required at ARC is as follows, 1. 5 Nos. Pentium V or higher PC for Confirmation and 15 Nos Pentium V or higher PC for facilitation. 2. Windows XP/2003/Vista/7 or higher Operating System with up to date security & service patches 3. Microsoft Office at least 2000/XP/2007 or higher on single machine, Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.0 or above. 4. All the 20 machines should be connected through LAN with Internet facility 5. Internet Explorer 7.0 or above with all upgrades and Java Script enabled. 6. 2 nos. Scanner A4 size with minimum 300dpi resolution 7. DeskJet / LaserJet Printers as per the No. of confirmation terminals or networked. 8. Minimum 2 Mbps ADSL/Wimax /Leased line with Proxy Server for Internet sharing on the entire PCs. (Minimum 2Mbps Broadband Connection should be made available wherever possible) 9. Adequate Electrical Power Backup facilities 10. Counseling Hall with required facilities for Minimum 20 candidates. (Note: Number of computing facilities may vary based on the location of the ARC) All the Principals/Directors of the ARCs are hereby informed to make the required infrastructure mentioned in order under reference ready and in working condition on or before the start of the receipt of the applications for Direct Second Year of four year Degree Course in Engineering/ Technology admission. The ARCs are required to setup separate facilitation center for aforesaid activities as per requirement for smooth conduct of the receipt of the application form.
