SOFTWARE RELEASE NOTES FOR ONSIGHT CONNECT FOR IOS SOFTWARE VERSION 6.1.X Introduction These release notes describe the new features and capabilities included in Onsight Connect for ios software version 6.1.x. Note: This information is intended for the Librestream Onsight Connect running on Apple ipad and iphone devices. Onsight Connect software Version 6.1.x has been validated with: ipad 2 and 3 running ios v5.0 and higher iphone 4, 4S and 5 running ios v5.0 and higher Onsight Connect for PC software Version 6.1.x (recommended) and 6.0.x. Onsight Device running Onsight Connect v6.1.x and v6.0.x. Librestream hosted SIP Service and TeamLink service Cisco VCS X5.2 and InGate SIParator 4.9.2 It is strongly recommended to consult with Librestream before using third party equipment with Onsight Connect. New Features Support for Private and Public SIP Servers Onsight Connect for ios v6.1 supports both Private and Public SIP Servers configuration profiles. If both configurations are present, Onsight Connect will register to the private or the public SIP Server depending on the location of the ios device with respect to the firewall. Internally located ios devices will detect and connect to the private SIP Server; externally located ios devices will connect to the Public SIP Server. Important: This release does not support the Cisco VCS-Control (private) and VCS-Expressway (public) pair. Known Issue Ref#7629 will be resolved in an upcoming release. The work around is to only use the Public Server settings and manually reconfigure when crossing the Firewall boundary. If you login to multiple endpoints with your User Account we recommend you create a new OAM User account that is exclusively used with iphone or ipad s Onsight Connect. This will prevent any changes regarding the SIP Settings made on your iphone or ipad afftecting your PC or Onsight Device. Note: Onsight Connect for PC and Librestream Devices functions correctly with the VCSc and VCSe pair with respect to the Private/Public SIP Server settings. Guest User Controls Supports the option to restrict global Guest User privileges including: Disable recording of images and video Prevent access to Global Contact Directory Page 5 of 9
Changes and Improvements since Previous Version Usability Various minor user interface fixes and improvements. #6632 - Added option to enable Bandwidth Adaptive Streaming (BAS) for cellular networks only. #6955 Fixed self-signed certificates might not be trusted. #7612 Fixed swiping away from the Collaboration screen UI unresponsiveness. #7347 - Simplified TeamLink health status reporting. #7483 Onsight Connect now defaults to setting Media encryption to auto. #7399 Power User check box added to protect User SIP settings such as authentication username/password #7503 - Proxy Settings are now set to Auto by default. #7602 Fixed slow hangup on Onsight Device with IP to IP call #7619 Improved Wifi Connectivity by adding UIRequiresPersistentWifi Page 6 of 9
Known Limitations Limitations SIP OPTIONS message is rejected by Cisco VCS for Private Server Settings causing only the Public Server Settings to be used when SIP registering. Ref#7629 Recordings started during a Session are not automatically stopped when the session ends. The user must return to the Collaboration Window to stop the recording. Ref#6845 Taking a snapshot while the video is paused will capture an image from the live video stream and not the paused image. Ref#7277 Web Proxy Authentication fails despite entering Proxy Authentication User Name and Password. Ref#7359 Cellular data is turned off by default. To make calls over a cellular connection go to Settings\Calls Enable cellular data for calls: Cellular Data ON. Ref#7238 If you try to share an image with the Cisco (Tandberg) E20, the collaboration window goes black and all buttons become disabled. End the call to return to normal behaviour. Ref#7198 Image captures may occasionally fail when using the front camera (iphone 4 only) Ref#7069 Extra blank attachments may occur when emailing calls and images due to compatibility issues between Apple and Microsoft mailing conventions. Ref#6061 Flash controls are disabled on the ipad when an iphone is streaming video. Ref#7037 It is possible for the Firewall Detect test to report that the SIP ports are disabled even though a Firewall rule has been enabled to allow SIP traffic to a specific SIP Server address. This is due to the fact that the Firewall Detect test uses the TeamLink server as the destination address for all ports being tested. Since the TeamLink server has not been added to the Firewall rule as an allowed destination the Firewall Detect test reports the SIP ports are disabled. This will result in the Onsight software using TeamLink instead of sending SIP/Media traffic directly to the SIP Server. Ref#7240 Page 7 of 9

New Features Full Onsight Collaboration Experience Onsight Connect for ios supports the full Onsight experience on Apple ipad and iphone devices including sharing live or recorded video, audio, telestration and images with other Onsight endpoints. Onsight ios users have access to all the same capabilities and controls as other Onsight endpoints with the exception of being able to host a multi-party call. All Onsight endpoints (i.e. PC and Librestream Onsight Devices) must be updated to v6.0 to share and receive live video with an ios device. Onsight Connect for ios Librestream Device Support Onsight Connect for ios users can receive live video from any Librestream Onsight Device running v6.0 including the 1000/2000/2500. Known Limitations Limitations Recordings started during a Session are not automatically stopped when the session ends. The user must return to the Collaboration Window to stop the recording. Ref#6845 Taking a snapshot while the video is paused will capture an image from the live video stream and not the paused image. Ref#7277 When not in a call, or in a call but not sharing video, the user interface becomes unresponsive for several seconds if the user captures a still image and swipes away from the Collaboration window as the Capturing Image message exits. To prevent this from occurring wait 3 seconds after the Capturing Image message disappears before swiping away from the Collaboration window. Ref#7216 Self-signed certificates may not be trusted by ios. Disable Settings\Calls\ Verify SIP TLS Server if using self-signed certificates on your SIP Server. Ref #6955. Cellular data is turned off by default.
