1 Getting Started 1 Log into CTERA Portal. 2 In the My Account tab, click Install Agent. 3 Select Agent for Mac and click Install. 4 After the software installation file is downloaded, double-click on the installer icon. Getting Started 1 The Installation wizard opens displaying the Introduction pane. 6 Continue through the wizard until the installation is complete, and click Close. The icon is added to the, and a new user group, "ctera," is created. 7 Click the tray icon. for Mac Quick Walkthrough 4
Getting Started 1 The Welcome to window opens. 8 In the Server field, type the CTERA Portal's DNS name. 9 In the Username and Password fields, type your CTERA Portal account credentials. 10 Click Sign in. for Mac Quick Walkthrough 5
Getting Started 1 11 The Your Subscription Includes screen opens, showing the services you are subscribed to. 12 Click All Done!. The installation is now complete. Your Cloud Drive Folder has a subfolder called myfiles. This is your home folder in the cloud, everything that you put in this folders is synced to the cloud and vice versa. You can sync additional folders, by going through the procedure in the next chapter. for Mac Quick Walkthrough 6
2 Syncing Additional Folders 1 Right-click the tray icon ( ) and click Settings. 2 In the navigation pane, click Main > Cloud Drive, then click Add Folders. 3 Select the folder or subfolder you want to sync to the cloud. 4 Click Start Syncing. 3 Syncing Cloud Folders from the Cloud to Your Mac 1 Right-click the tray icon ( ) and click Settings. 2 In the Main > Cloud Drive page, click Other folders on cloud. This shows all the folders in the cloud that are not synced with your Mac. 3 Click next to the folder you want to sync. 4 Click Sync this Folder. 5 Click Start Syncing. The folder is synced as a subfolder of the Cloud Drive folder on your Mac. Tip for Mac Quick Walkthrough 8
Syncing Cloud Folders from the Cloud to Your Mac 3 Alternatively, you can sync to a different location by clicking Sync to a different location (A). You can then select or create a new location on your Mac to which to sync the folder (B). The folder is synced from the cloud to your Mac. for Mac Quick Walkthrough 9
4 Sharing Files with Other Team Portal Users 1 Click the tray icon ( ) and then click View online in the window. 2 Log into the CTERA Portal and select the Cloud Drive tab. 3 Right-click the folder you want to share and click Manage Sharing. 4 Add users and define their permission level (read/write or read only). You can optionally specify an expiration date for each user. 5 In the Folder type field, choose the type of folder: Personal. The folder will be your personal folder and if you share it other users, it will appear under "/shared with me" in their Cloud Drive. Project. The folder will appear under the /projects folder in the team portal's cloud folders hierarchy. You need to have project administration permissions to choose this type. 6 Click Save. for Mac Quick Walkthrough 10
