All the work procedures needed for this operation is described in the "technical data sheets" which you can find on the suppliers website: http://techinfo.rmpaint.com/en_uk/documents/pdf/tech_infos/a_1.5_prep_art_kunststoff_neuteil. pdf You will also have access to the data sheets before and during the whole competition. All procedures for this operation are explained in these data sheets, and the assessment criteria will be made based on these documents. Sanding materials, tools and the workplace will be prepared in advance.
Timetable Part Time schedule Maximum A Preparation of front bumper before 15:00-22 painting. Preparation of surface with Scotchbrite. Prepare plastic part and apply Extra sealer according to data sheets. B Apply base color and top coat -18:00 46 according to data sheets. Total 3 hours Total 68 Task 1 Part A Use recommended equipment in the workshop to prepare the plastic part for Extra sealer. Apply EXTRASEALER on the plastic part according to supplier R-M s data sheet. You have to mix right amount of the solution yourself. Evaluation: Do not proceed until you have been evaluated.
Part B Prepare the plastic part for painting according to supplier s data sheets. Mix base color ONYX HD according to supplier s data sheets. Mix topcoat CHRONOLUX according to supplier s data sheets. All necessary equipment needed for the paint job will be prepared and put on a table in the paint cabin for each competitor. Air hoses and adjustable air control devices are mounted on every workstation in the paint cabin, including an air-supplied respirator.
