Increased Operational Readiness Stewart & Stevenson realizes that an active and effectively managed Planned Maintenance Program is essential to the extended and efficient operation of equipment. With operational commitments, deadlines and other competing priorities, many customers are unable to perform routinely scheduled maintenance events. This generally leads to untimely failures and a requirement to repair or replace systems or components much sooner than anticipated. Stewart & Stevenson s Planned Maintenance Program provides important maintenance support and the following benefits for our customers: Saves Money Being proactive vs reactive. Early detection of possible malfunctions enables an organization to make adjustments or small component level repairs instead of experiencing more costly system level failures. Reallocation of Staffing Assets Providing exceptional repair and maintenance support on engines, transmissions and other mission critical systems and components is part of our core business. Utilizing Stewart & Stevenson s skilled PM teams allows an organization to reallocate its personnel to perform other oilfield operational, equipment or facility assignments. Financial savings are realized by not having to hire additional staff to perform maintenance tasks. Saves Time Performing Preventive Maintenance is often less complex when compared to troubleshooting and repair procedures. Customers also avoid dealing with the impact associated with system failures and data loss. Minimizes extended down times. Improves Performance Extended operation of equipment in harsh environments will cause a gradual degradation in equipment readiness and performance. The routine process of Planned Maintenance will help extend the life of your equipment systems and components, thus enabling an organization to perform sustained drilling, fracturing or well servicing operations. Provides Safety Proper working equipment and adherence to safety practices creates safe operating conditions for equipment operators and other organizational personnel.
