The adds to the uniqueness of the ECE curriculum since our school is one of the only graduate schools of engineering to offer full academic training in this field. The embedded systems domain is currently experiencing tremendous growth in the automobile, aeronautics, space, rail, mobile communications, and electronic payment solutions industries. The main technological driver behind today s research and development is the need for mobility. Today, companies value operational embedded systems engineers, and yet such graduates are hard to find on the market. For more information Christophe Baujault Head of the Embedded Systems Department More than ten years in Embedded Systems Engineering baujault@ece.fr Marivi Marivi Garcia Garcia Botsmakian Botsmakian International Officer officer in charge of Study Abroad programs garciabo@ece.fr +33 144 390 609 Our students conduct their internships with leading companies working as embedded software engineers, real-time software engineers, embedded applications engineers, or industrial process automation engineers working for DASSAULT AVIATION, SNECMA, SCHLUMBERGER, VALEO, etc. Program Benefits : Educating and training engineers who can design, develop and use : * Embedded software * Real-time applications * Onboard computer and electronic systems Building expertise in the following technological fields : * Electronics * Computer science * Networks Reaching the following target industries : * Automobile sector * Air and space sector * Rail sector * Telecommunications industry * Electronic payment solutions sector * Smart cards industry Train engineers for engineering service providers in: * Industrial computing * Technical and scientific computing Training engineers for IT consultancies in : * High technologies * Emerging technologies Preparing our graduates for the following positions : * Embedded software engineer * Real-time applications engineer * Embedded applications engineer * Industrial computing engineer * Electronic payment systems engineer

About the French Master s Degree in Engineering The French Master s Degree in Engineering is officially entitled Diplôme d Ingénieur. In some countries, people are generally worrying about the Diplôme word, which often refers to institutions and programs at a lower level. In France however, this is quite the opposite: the French State only allows the final year degrees it recognizes as such to be granted the Diplôme title. The French Master s Degree in Engineering is indeed delivered by institutions accredited by the CTI (Commission of the French Ministry of Education) this is the highest level of recognition by the French State for Schools of Engineering. Like ECE, these institutions are most of the time members of the French Conference des Grandes Ecoles (the top Grandes Ecoles are comparable to the Indian Institutes of Technology IIT s). For many reasons, the French Master s Degree in Engineering is considered by companies as the most efficient degree for embracing all of their industrial activities, even in research and development. First of all, it is attracting the best students studying science after Baccalaureate (fresh out of high school). Secondly, the programs leading to the French Master s Degree in Engineering are always matching scientific, technological and managerial skills in such a way that the future engineers will prove rapidly their professional efficiency and their ability to manage complex projects. The comparison between the French Master s Degree in Engineering and the different Masters in or Masters of delivered in various universities highlights undoubtedly the significant advantage of FMDE owners on the job market. Their fast-moving progression within companies, be it in technical or in managerial positions, highlights the perfect adaptation of their training program to the expectations of various organizations (whether producing goods or services). This explains why the French companies operating overseas and interested in hiring Engineers are particularly attracted to applicants with a French Touch. Students acquire the latter when they study for the French Master s Degree in Engineering. As a Master s Degree, the French Master s Degree in Engineering is recognized all over the European Union and benefits from the reputation of France s technological savoir faire throughout the world.
