Using Authorize.net for Credit Card Processing in YogaReg 1. Obtain a credit card merchant account. If you already process credit cards via a terminal, you already have one. You can contact your bank, Costco, or other sources of merchant accounts. You can also obtain a merchant account from Authorize.net (see below). Shop for the merchant account that provides you with a competitive monthly fee, per transaction fee, and per transaction percentage. Credit card transactions processed through YogaReg are Card Not Present transactions since they are done via a web site. 2. Obtain an Authorize.net account. This is available at http://www.authorize.net via a reseller of your choice. The makers or YogaReg, Turnkey Technology Corp. (TTC), are resellers but you are not required to use TTC to obtain an Authorize.net account. If you wish to use TTC as your reseller, you can apply for your Authorize.net account using the following link: http://reseller.authorize.net/application?resellerid=12902 3. Ensure your Authorize.net account IS NOT in test mode. Log into Authorize.net as a merchant using the username and password provided to you by Authorize.net. See the Authorize.net help for instructions on disabling test mode:
4. Process a credit card with your Authorize.net account. Access the virtual terminal, using the link as shown below: Process a transaction to charge a credit card, with the transaction type of Authorize and Capture : Fill in the credit card information and charge a minimal amount. NOTE: Your card will be charged, and you will be charged processing fees at the rates you established with your merchant account and Authorize.net. Click the submit button. DO NOT PROCEED UNTIL YOU CAN SUCCESSFULLY PROCESS A CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION VIA THE VIRTUAL TERMINAL. WORK WITH AUTHORIZE.NET AND YOUR MERCHANT ACCOUNT PROVIDER TO RESOLVE ANY ISSUES.
5. Create an Authorize.net API Login ID and Transaction Key. These values are used by YogaReg to process payments via your Authorize.net account. See the Authorize.net help for more information: 6. Create an Authorize.net MD5 Hash. This is an extra security measure provided by Authorize.net and utilized by YogaReg.com. It is basically a secret word that you enter in the Authorize.net site AND the YogaReg site used by YogaReg to verify responses from Authorize.net. See the Authorize.net help for more information:
7. Edit the Authorize.net settings in YogaReg. Log into your YogaReg /app site and access the system settings: Navigate to the Authorize.net settings: Click the Edit link. Select the YogaReg sites where you want to use Authroize.net and the default to either use Authorize.net or to process credit cards via a credit card terminal:
Enter your Authorize.net API Login ID, Transaction Key, and MD5 Hash: The Username in YogaReg is the API Login ID from Authorize.net. The Password in YogaReg is the Transactino Key from Authorize.net The MD5 Hash in Yogareg is the MD5 Hash from Authorize.net Make sure the transaction mode in YogaReg is set to Normal: Specify the types of credit cards you accept: Submit the form. 8. Test YogaReg Credit Card Processing. Create a user account that can be used for testing. (Add a new student to the system and specify a login username and password). Create a low cost item (such as a class bundle or workshop whose cost is $0.10) that can be used for this test. Log into the /pub site using the student user account you created for this test. Add the low cost item to the cart and proceed to checkout. Enter your credit card number and the other required fields (NOTE: Your card will be charged, and you will be charged processing fees at the rates you established with your merchant account and Authorize.net.) Submit the payment form and verify that the payment is accepted. Remember to remove the low cost item from your system after verifying the credit card processing has succeeded.
