The Gyproc GN 13 Normal plasterboard contains a glass-fibre reinforced core with added dimension stabilizing minerals. Gyproc GN 13 Normal is used as cladding for internal walls and ceilings, and can be used in all types of buildings. Suitable for most applications where normal fire, structural and acoustic levels are specified. The plasterboards have tapered long edges and short edges sawn straight. Introduction The information is provided by Gyproc AS 1 Characterisation of construction product 1.1 Definition of functional unit (FU) By considering the functions of this product, the functional unit can be described as follows: 1m 2 of installed building board with a specified function and an expected average service life of 60 years (packaging included). Note: The additional products of screws, tape and jointing compound are used to install building board; these are therefore included in the assessment. 1.2 Data type and quantity for the calculation of the functional unit (FU) Quantity of the construction product, packaging and accessories contained in the functional unit is based on the Typical Life Time (TLT) of 60 years. Construction product: The product in question is GN13 whose main function is as an interior wall lining system.
