How to Work MLM Experience Leads: Congratulations on your choice to start contacting people who have done some type of direct sales / home biz / network marketing business in the past and could possibly be open to looking at your opportunity. This is one of the most successful and popular type of recruiting in MLM because it doesn t cost much to acquire leads PLUS you can actually start talking to people that have done MLM in the past instead of just tire kicker s who have filled out a form online. When you are contacting your leads it s very important to remember a few key factors: 1. Be friendly! You are contacting people because they fit the description of what you are looking for in a business partner NOT because they filled out some form online requesting information. Take notes from the example script template provided below to develop your own process of screening through these people. You are going to run into many people who are turned off to MLM. That s fine, just move on with a smile. 2. Your going to run into disconnects and bad phone numbers Don t get discouraged. Remember you paid a very small price for the contact info of thousands of past networkers. Be prepared to run into bad phone numbers. Simply scratch them off your list and move on to the next one. It s all about working through the numbers and putting them in your favor. It only takes a couple of yeses to make your small investment to pay off BIG TIME! 3. Don t give up after 50 phone calls Again, you must put the numbers in your favor and work through your entire lead list to see some great results for your business. If you make 50 calls and give up because you haven t had any success you re probably just a phone call or two away from signing someone up. Every No you get just gets you one step closer to getting a Yes 4. Don t approach these leads as opportunity seekers. The best approach I have used with ANY type of lead is developing a repoir and relationship with a prospect rather than putting them on the spot right away and telling them what they have done (EX. You requested information, You wanted to find out about my opportunity, etc ) Just build repoir and find out about them. You will know a prospecting conversation is going well if your prospect is talking more than you are.

MLM Experience Lead Script Hello is there? Hi, This is (Your Name). I m calling you from my home in (Your Location). Listen, you don t know me, but you and I have both been in network marketing. Don t worry, this is totally not a sales pitch. I just called to ask you a simple survey question. Would you be open to looking at a new way to make money from home without bothering your family and friends and without spending a fortune on leads., if your answer is yes, I d be happy to shoot you over some free information. (be quiet and wait for the answer) No Hey not a problem. Thanks for your time, and I ll let you go. Hey before I hang up, what MLM program are you with? (Let them answer). (Cut them off) Oh that s great. You re with a great program. I wish you continued success. (hang up and write down the program he is with) That Depends Hey I understand. Listen, I m with (Your Company). I m not sure if you ve heard of us, but have you seen our new recruiting website we ve got? Its getting incredible results! Have you seen it? (They will say No ) What s your email address, I ll send it right over. Yes Continue with the rest of the script

4 Communication Bullets G.A.P Them Grab A Pen Hey I m with (Your Company). I don t know if you ve heard of us or not, but we ve got a great new recruiting web site for you to check out. Grab A Pen and I ll give you some stuff to check out. 1. First, is our pre-recorded company overview that you can call in and check out. That number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. This will tell you a lot about what we re doing, how we re doing it, our company, and how we re making money. I mention this first because it puts everything else into perspective. Your company or your team should have some sort of pre-recorded phone call. It can last from 3-10 minutes. These are not newbies, so there is nothing wrong with a little longer message to give someone a complete picture. See our voice mail presentation if you wish to record your own. 2., I ve got a great 3-page email presentation. What s your email address? 3. Now I want you to go in as fast as you can and check out OUR web site. Here is our web site: www.yourwebsite.com At the web site, you will need to sign up to take the free trial membership tour. That will give you full access to the inside of our system, and a lot of information that isn t on the first page. Tracy Biller teaches that you should have your own web site rather than sending a prospect to a company web site. This is a great idea, but if you don t have one, most company web sites now can offer someone a good idea about the compensation plan, history, products, etc. 4. Last, and this is really powerful, is to get on our next (Your Company) conference call. You need to hear live what is going on. Our conference call is (Date and Time) That number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. Can you make that call? Great. I ll give you a call about an hour before the conference call to check on ya. All right, you have our numbers and web site. I will shoot over that email in a few moments. Be looking for an email with From (Your Name) in the subject line. Listen, take some time and check this

stuff out especially the web site and the pre-recorded phone call. Now, how do things look for you to check things out within the next couple of hours? Great! Well, it s been great chatting with you and have a good evening! Follow Up Phone Call You need to follow up the same evening or within 24 hours to follow up with your prospect. Hello is there? Hey this is (Your Name) again with (Your Company). You got my email and checked out the web site and phone calls? Great! Are you ready to join us and get moving forward? (Your prospects will tell you if they have any objections or if they have any questions. If their objections or questions are not easily answered, do a 3- way phone call with your upline. Have the phone calls and / or web site answer your questions for you too.) Answering Machine Hi, my name is (Your Name). Listen, the reason I am giving you a call today is because, you and I have both been in network marketing. Don t worry, this is totally not a sales pitch. I just called to see if you might be open to look at a new way to make money from home without bothering your family and friends and without spending a fortune on leads. So, if your answer is yes, go ahead and listen to our pre-

recorded overview by calling XXX-XXX-XXXX. You can listen to that 24 hours a day. After that, if you like what you hear, just give me a call back directly at my home number, XXX-XXX-XXXX. And again, my name is (Your Name). Thank you and take care.

Some Objections 1) I m registered on the Do Not Call List. I appreciate that. Under the Do Not Call regulations, it states If the call is for the purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. we will however, remove you from our database so that do not receive any further phone calls from us. Thank you and have a good evening. 2) Where did you get my name? You know, I got so sick and tired of talking to tire kickers and lookie-loos, that I contacted a list broker and that I specifically asked for a list of people who ve been in MLM, and who ve exhibited great leadership skills and an incredible work ethic. Does that describe you? 3) I ve never been in MLM or I ve never been with that company. Your name was on a list of individuals who had either been building a business with this company or has at one time used their products. Let me just ask you a quick question then do you have any desire to learn more about working an internet business from home? 4) Can you tell me more about the business?, I could talk to you for another hour about (Your Company), but I m not going to. Not out of disrespect to you, but our tools and web site do that for us. And, we want you to know up front that you don t have to memorize medical journals and detailed information about the company and products. All you have to do is invite people to your web site and phone calls. So, whether you ve been with the company 5 days or 5 years, it s still the same. This also allows you to make an objective decision about the business.
