In this user guide, we will demonstrate how to integrate your Redtail service into the emoney platform. This will allow the Advisor to import and link clients currently in Redtail into emoney. Establishing the Redtail Connection 1. From the Applications dropdown, choose Setup. The emx Select screen allows you to connect your emx subscription to Redtail, or to any of our corporate partners. Note that you must have a Redtail subscription to use Redtail in emx. 2. Select Redtail. 3. Enter the Redtail User Name and Password. Click Connect. 1 Redtail Integration
The main Redtail screen appears within emx. You can always access this screen by clicking on Redtail in the Applications dropdown menu. 2 Redtail Integration
The Redtail Connection 4. emoney considers Redtail a Connection. To Link or Import a client, click on the Connections tab. 5. Redtail will be listed under All Connections, with a Status, when it was Last Updated and if there are any Connection tickets open. 6. The Redtail Status Page The Status page gives the user the ability to Import Clients and Add Accounts. The Actions area along the left gives you the ability to manage the connection: You can Refresh, Rename, or Delete the connection. You can Update Credentials or Report a Problem with your connection. 7. To view your Redtail Clients Click Import Clients and a list of all existing Redtail clients will appear. Clicking on Clients in the status bar will also bring you to the same list. 4 Redtail Integration

Linking versus Importing You have the option to LINK or IMPORT a client. Linking refers to linking a Redtail client with an existing emoney client. Importing refers to taking a Redtail client and creating a new client in emoney. Linking a Client 9. Click Link to link a Redtail client to an existing emoney client. Note that you can import multiple clients at a time. 10. A pop-up box will appear. If multiple clients fit the description, choose the correct client name and click Link. 11. Once the Redtail client contact is linked to the existing contact in emoney, this will be noted next to the client name. Note the ability to unlink you client to the right. Importing a Client 12. Click Import to import a Redtail client into emoney as a new client. Note that you can import multiple clients at a time. 6 Redtail Integration
Unlinking a Client 13. To Unlink a client, choose the Unlink button. A pop-up box appears to verify the unlinking of the client account. If OK, choose Unlink. 14. A pop-up box appears to verify the unlinking of this client account. If OK, choose Unlink. 7 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Viewing and Editing Accounts 15. Click on the Accounts tab to view your clients imported accounts. 16. Click the name of the account to rename it or reclassify it. Click on Advanced Facts to enter details for the account. Click Save after making any changes. 8 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Unlinking Connected Accounts 17. Click Unlink to disconnect the connected account. 18. Choose the option to Unlink Fact Only or Unlink and Delete Fact. Once the radio button is chosen, click Unlink. Important Note: If the Unlink Only radio button is chosen, the client accounts will just be unlinked from Redtail and converted to a manual account in the client Facts. If the Unlink and Delete radio button is chosen, the client accounts unlinked from Redtail will be deleted from the client Facts. 19. Once Unlink is chosen, system will display Unlinking status. 20. Click the Status button to navigate back to highest level. 9 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Adding Accounts 21. There are 2 ways to add accounts. Click on Connections in the menu bar. If you have not yet added accounts, the Add Accounts button will appear here. Click on it. Otherwise, click on Accounts in the upper right. Here you can add accounts for one specific client, or you can search for a specific client and then add accounts. 10 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Adding Accounts for A Specific Client 22. To add accounts for a specific client, click the Add link to the right of each client s name. A pop-up box will appear with the chosen client s accounts. Use the checkbox to select the account(s) you want to include. You can also search by Client ID for other accounts. Click Add Another if you need to search multiple client IDs. Click Next to continue. In this example, we will link the asdhardh account. 23. The next dialog allows you to specify what type of account this is. The Link To dropdown allows you to link the account to an existing fact (Kate s Annuity) in the client s Facts section. Alternatively, you can create a New Fact in the client s Facts section. Use the Type dropdown to categorize what type of asset this is. When you are done, click Link. The account is now linked and will update regularly. 11 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Searching for a Client and then Adding Accounts 24. To search for a specific client, then add accounts for them, Click Add Accounts in the Actions area to the left. 25. Start typing your client s name. Choose your client from the results dropdown. Click Next to select. 26. The next dialog allows you to specify what type of account this is. The Link To dropdown allows you to link the account to an existing fact (Kate s Annuity) in the client s Facts section. Alternatively, you can create a New Fact in the client s Facts section. Use the Type dropdown to categorize what type of asset this is. When you are done, click Link. The account is now linked and will update regularly. 12 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Refreshing and Freezing Accounts From the Accounts area, you are also able to Refresh account values and to Freeze a client s facts. Refreshing accounts pulls in the latest account values from Redtail. Freezing accounts temporarily stops the client s accounts from automatically updating. This can be useful if you are preparing a presentation for a client and you don t want the numbers to change. 27. Click on Refresh to pull in the latest values for that account from Redtail. 28. Click on Freeze to temporarily stop the client s accounts from automatically updating. 29. On the Freeze Facts dialog, click the Freeze dropdown to choose which facts to freeze. You can freeze all facts, linked facts only, or manual facts only. Choose the Start and End dates for however long you d like those accounts to remain static. Freezing Manual Facts will prevent the client from updating fact values on the client website. 30. All facts are now frozen. You may Update or Cancel the freeze at any time. 13 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Accessing Redtail in emoney While inside emoney, you can access Redtail in one of two ways: 1. By clicking on Applications in the menu bar. This will take you to Redtail s main dashboard. 2. On the client Overview page under the client name dropdown you will find a View in Redtail link. Clicking this link takes you to that specific client s Redtail record. a. Click on Clients in the menu bar b. Click the down arrow to the right of the client s name and select Go to Client Overview. c. From the Client Overview page, click the down arrow next to the client s name and select View in Redtail. 14 Redtail Integration
Using Redtail: Adding a Note to a Specific Fact Note: Contact and notes syncing will only occur if the client respective client has been linked with or imported from Redtail. 1. From the Client Overview page, click on Facts. 2. Click the Advanced button to go to the Advanced Facts area. 1. In the Overview area along the right, navigate to the piece of data you d like to enter a Redtail note for. Use the plus signs to open up the different areas. Along the left, click on your desired fact. 2. Click on the Notes link to the right. 15 Redtail Integration
3. Click the Add button. 4. Type in your note. The menus along the top let you format your note. Select the note category from the dropdown menu. You can optionally include the note in emoney s Fact Detail Report. Click Save to save your note. 5. Your note is now attached to your fact, and has also been synced to Redtail.
