29 Cyber Security 31 _cyel equilibrium 32 Cyobs cyber radar

30 Exposure of sensitive data, malware attacks, extensive disruption of IT infrastructure protecting national cyber and information space has become as important today as defending national territory. In our ever-more wired world, government, business and society are all increasing vulnerable to attacks in cyber and information space now eagerly exploited by state and non-state actors alike. An era of digital vulnerability demands innovative solutions such as camouflaging potential targets and tricking attackers. To be able to defend national cyberspace, it is vital to understand its structure, extent and above all its vulnerability. Rheinmetall currently offers two cyber security products: the _cyel equilibrium cyber network security solution and Cyobs cyber radar for cyber vulnerability analysis. Rheinmetall will continue to systematically expand its cyber security activities.

Cyber Security 31 _cyel equilibrium cyber network security solution Protecting data has to become a fundamental feature of the Internet. _cyel equilibrium marks the advent of a new strategy for cyber security: not a new generation of patches and firewalls, but moving target security, in which potential targets for attack are removed without switching the existing system. Previous security solutions reacted to attacks; newer ones depend on intelligent attack recognition, and are thus more proactive. But they don t still solve the problem, because the targets remain visible to the attacker. Moving target security adopts a more fundamental approach to solving the problem: potential targets for attack are moved, dispersed and concealed. Instead of preventing intrusion into a static network, the network becomes a dynamic system with moving targets. For outsiders, users are no longer easily visible. The system ensures that an intruder who moves laterally attracts attention.

32 Cyobs cyber radar Cyobs is a cyber radar system that measures, analyses and visualizes a country s cyber vulnerability. It thus helps countries to protect their entry points and territories against cyber threats and cyber warfare. Core capabilities In a matter of hours, Cyobs can scan and map a country s complete visible Internet infrastructure. It is able to detect known security weak points in a wide spectrum of Internet procedures and services vulnerable to cyber attacks. Cyobs supports national cyber hardening Charting existing vulnerabilities in cyberspace Analysing cyberspace dependencies and limitations Checking on the success of follow-up cyberspace security measures Cyobs can operate in solution as a service (SAAS) mode or as an in-country facility Based on open standards and independent of third parties, Cyobs is a turnkey solution

36 In the world of law enforcement weapons and tactical systems, the decisive benchmarks are modularity, scalability and expandability. Other requirements include cost efficiency, interoperability and safety aspects. Insensitive munitions offer a good example of the latter: these projectiles and propellants don t explode when exposed to mechanical blows, direct hits or open flames. Moreover, police officers today have to be ready for scenarios in which they find themselves facing ruthless, heavily armed opponents with military training, eager to inflict maximum casualties. In light of this situation, the police clearly require an expanded arsenal of options. A proven partner of law enforcement, Rheinmetall offers a full range of tactical solutions.

Weapons & Tactical Systems 37 Optics/Optronics Whether at night or in unlit spaces by day, being able to quickly detect and recognize potential threats in the dark is a vital capability.
