OUR COMPANY

Kaptein is the flexible packager and producer of cheese, butter, processed cheese and grated dried cheese. We are a driven, family company, which puts its rich history to good use. Kaptein delivers a complete end-to-end process for cheese, butter, processed cheese and grated dried cheese. We offer a fast and efficient response to the specific needs of our national and international customers. We focus on four key activities taking place in four different locations: Kaptein BV Castricum : storage and portioning of cheese Kaptein BV IJmuiden : storage and portioning of butter Kaptein BVBA Bilzen : production of grated dried cheese Kaptein PCF Oosthuizen : production of processed cheese OUR COMPANY

CHEESE

The highly selective purchasing of cheese for storage takes place in Castricum. After storage, we cut, grate, grind, powder, package and distribute the cheeses. This process is enormously varied, and the options are considerable. Portioned cheese The assortment ranges from 1-slice to 208-slice packs of sliced cheese; cheese cubes to whole cheeses; and of course cheese of different maturity, packaging type, and brand. Cheese brands Kaptein has 6 different brands of cheese: Alkmaars Roem, Old Alkmaar, Alkmaars Bewust, Alkmaars Speciaal, World of Cheese and Cheese Holland. These brands are available in many different packaging formats, ranging from 1- to 208-slice packs, or from a typical Dutch cheese wedge to a whole cheese. Private label Kaptein is the perfect partner in private labelling! We pack a wide range of cheese, butter, processed cheese and grated dried cheese product under private label brands for various companies across the world. Private labelling is always developed in close cooperation with our customers, ensuring that the product is packaged exactly according to our customer s wishes. BUTTER

Kaptein s purchasing accuracy ensures we only buy in butter which complies with the highest standards. In the Kaptein butter factory we pack several own and private label brands, with a range varying from cups and retail packaging to 5-kilo bulk packs. Portioned butter We pack butter in cups (in various weights and brands) packs (10-gram & 250-gram), retail packs (10 x 10-gram), rolls 250-gram, traditional kopjes 500-gram and bulk packs of 2- and 5-kg. Butter brands Echte Boter, our pure butter brand, is available in many different packaging formats: 8-gram, 10-gram and 15-gram cups, retail packs of 10 x 10 gram, 250-gram packs, 250- gram rolls & 500-gram packs and bulk packs of 2- and 5-kg. Echte Boter Organic is also available, in 10-gram cups and retail packs of 10 x 10 gram. The Kaptein brand Butterdelight is available packed in 8-gram, 10-gram and 15-gram cups, in the varieties Butterdelight salted, unsalted, 60% butter and spreadable. Best4Bread is our margarine brand. In our processed cheese factory in Oosthuizen, Kaptein Processed Cheese Factory, we produce processed cheese, including cheese spread, smoked cheese, processed cheese blocks and industrial cheese for use in the food industry. With 130 years of knowledge and experience, Kaptein PCF has become a major player in the market. Grated dried cheese Kaptein offers different kinds of grated dried cheese under various brands, both from our factory Kaptein BVBA in Bilzen. The Kaptein assortment of grated dried cheese ranges from a 250-gram shaker and a 1-kg bag, to a 25 kg paper sack or 500 kg bulk bin.
